What are regulations on classification of the learning outcomes of grade 6 students in Vietnam?
According to Clause 2, Article 9 of Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT, the learning outcomes of grade 6 students are classified into 4 levels as follows:
- Good Level:
+ All subjects evaluated by comments are rated at the level of Achieved.
+ All subjects evaluated by combined comments and scores have an average semester grade (ĐTBmhk), average annual grade (ĐTBmcn) from 6.5 points or higher, with at least 06 subjects having ĐTBmhk, ĐTBmcn reaching 8.0 points or higher.
- Fair Level:
+ All subjects evaluated by comments are rated at the level of Achieved.
+ All subjects evaluated by combined comments and scores have ĐTBmhk, ĐTBmcn from 5.0 points or higher, with at least 06 subjects having ĐTBmhk, ĐTBmcn reaching 6.5 points or higher.
- Passed Level:
+ At most 01 (one) subject evaluated by comments is rated at the level of Not Achieved.
+ At least 06 (six) subjects evaluated by combined comments and scores have ĐTBmhk, ĐTBmcn from 5.0 points or higher; no subject with ĐTBmhk, ĐTBmcn below 3.5 points.
- Not Achieved Level: Other cases.
What are regulations on periodic evaluation of grade 6 students in Vietnam?
According to the regulations in Article 7 of Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT stipulating the forms of periodic evaluation for lower secondary school students:
- Periodic evaluation (not implemented for learning modules), includes mid-term and end-of-term evaluations, is conducted through tests (on paper or computer), practical exercises, study projects.
+ The duration for a test (on paper or computer) for subjects (excluding learning modules) with up to 70 periods/year is 45 minutes, and for subjects with over 70 periods/year from 60 minutes to 90 minutes; up to 120 minutes for specialized subjects.
+ For tests (on paper or computer) assessed by score, the test is constructed based on a matrix, specifications of the test, meeting the required achievements of the subject as set out in the General Education Program.
+ For tests (on paper or computer) assessed by comments, practical exercises, and study projects, there must be guides and evaluation criteria according to the required achievements of the subject as set out in the General Education Program before implementation.
- Each semester, each subject evaluated by comments has 01 (one) mid-term evaluation and 01 (one) end-of-term evaluation.
- Each semester, each subject evaluated by combined comments and scores has 01 (one) mid-term evaluation score (abbreviated as DĐGgk) and 01 (one) end-of-term evaluation score (abbreviated as DĐGck).
- Students who do not participate in sufficient checks, and evaluations due to force majeure reasons are allowed make-up checks and evaluations with equivalent requirements to the missing evaluations. Make-up checks and evaluations are conducted per semester.
- Students who do not participate in make-up checks and evaluations are rated at the level Not Achieved or receive 0 (zero) points for the missing evaluation.
