According to Clause 2 Article 9 of Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT, the academic results of grade 6 students are categorized into 4 types as follows:

- Good Level:

+ All subjects evaluated by remarks are assessed at the Achieved level.

+ All subjects evaluated by a combination of remarks and scores have a semester average of 6.5 and above, with at least 6 subjects having a semester average of 8.0 and above.

- Fair Level:

+ All subjects evaluated by remarks are assessed at the Achieved level.

+ All subjects evaluated by a combination of remarks and scores have a semester average of 5.0 and above, with at least 6 subjects having a semester average of 6.5 and above.

- Achieved Level:

+ At most one (1) subject evaluated by remarks is assessed at the Not Achieved level.

+ At least 6 (six) subjects evaluated by remarks combined with scores have a semester average of 5.0 and above, with no subject having a semester average below 3.5.

- Not Achieved Level: The remaining cases.

Do grade 6 students with outstanding academic results in Vietnam receive certificates of merit?

Pursuant to Article 15 of Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT on rewards:

Rewards

1. The principal awards certificates of merit to students

a) End-of-year awards

- Rewards for the title "Outstanding Student" for those with an annual conduct evaluation at the Good level, an annual academic evaluation at the Good level, and at least 6 (six) subjects evaluated by a combination of remarks and scores have a semester average of 9.0 and above.

- Rewards for the title "Excellent Student" for those with both annual conduct and academic evaluations at the Good level.

b) Awards for students with exceptional results in conduct and studies during the school year.

2. Students with special results are considered by the school for recommendation to higher levels for awards.

Thus, according to the above regulation, grade 6 students with outstanding academic results will receive certificates of merit at the end of the school year.
