Based on the provisions of Article 7 of Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT regulating the periodic evaluation forms for lower secondary school students:

- Periodic assessment (not applicable for learning module clusters) includes midterm and end-of-term assessments, executed through: tests (on paper or on a computer), practical exercises, learning projects.

+ Test duration (on paper or on a computer) for subjects (excluding learning module clusters) with up to 70 periods/school year is 45 minutes, and for subjects with over 70 periods/school year is from 60 to 90 minutes; for specialized subjects, up to 120 minutes.

+ For tests (on paper or on a computer) evaluated by score, the test must be designed based on a matrix, specifications of the test, meeting the required learning outcomes as specified in the National Education Program.

+ For tests (on paper or on a computer) evaluated by comments, practical exercises, and learning projects, there must be guidance and evaluation criteria according to the required learning outcomes specified in the National Education Program before implementation.

- In each semester, each subject assessed by comments has 01 (one) midterm evaluation and 01 (one) end-of-term evaluation.

- In each semester, each subject assessed by a combination of comments and scores has 01 (one) midterm assessment score (abbreviated as DĐGgk) and 01 (one) end-of-term assessment score (abbreviated as DĐGck).

- Fair Level:

+ All subjects assessed by comments are rated as Achieved.

+ All subjects assessed by a combination of comments and scores must have a GPA of 5.0 or higher, with at least 06 subjects achieving a GPA of 6.5 or higher.

- Pass Level:

+ At most 01 (one) subject assessed by comments is rated as Not Achieved.

+ At least 06 (six) subjects assessed by a combination of comments and scores must have a GPA of 5.0 or higher; no subject has a GPA below 3.5.

- Not Achieved: All other cases.
