+ Analyze and evaluate how the author uses some argumentative techniques (such as proof, explanation, commentary, comparison, analysis, or refutation) in the text to achieve the goal.

+ Analyze linguistic devices, words, affirmations, and negations in argumentative texts and evaluate the effectiveness of using these forms.

+ Identify and analyze the role of argumentation and expressive language in argumentative texts.

- Connection, comparison, linking

Know how to evaluate, and critique the text based on the reader's experiences and perspectives.

- Requirements for extended reading
