Vietnam: Who has the authority to approve this book in private school?
Based on Article 18 of the Charter for lower and upper secondary schools, and multiple-level secondary schools issued with Circular 32/2020/TT-BGDDT:
Textbooks, Teaching Equipment, and Reference Materials
1. Textbooks used in secondary schools are approved by the Minister of Education and Training; the Provincial People's Committee organizes the selection of textbooks according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. Secondary schools guide teachers and students in using textbooks as stipulated by law.
2. Teaching equipment used in schools belongs to the list of teaching equipment issued by the Ministry of Education and Training and other teaching equipment according to the common education program's regulations.
3. Schools select and provide teaching equipment and reference publications to serve teaching and educational activities as stipulated by the Minister of Education and Training.
Thus, Grade 12 Literature textbooks used in both public and private secondary schools are approved by the Minister of Education and Training for Vietnam.

Which Grade 12 Literature textbooks will be used in the New School Year in Vietnam?
Based on the List of Grade 12 Textbooks used in general education institutions issued with Decision 88/QD-BGDDT in 2024, the Minister of Education and Training approved the following three sets of Grade 12 Literature textbooks:

What are the objectives of the Grade 12 Literature Subject?
Based on Section 3 of the General Education Program for the subject of Literature issued with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the objectives of the Grade 12 Literature subject are to:
- Help students continue to develop qualities formed in lower secondary school; expand and elevate the requirements for developing qualities with specific manifestations: have fortitude, individuality, ideals, and ambitions, preserve and promote Vietnamese cultural values; have a spirit of integration and global citizenship consciousness.
- Continue to develop the competencies formed in lower secondary school with higher requirements: understand both explicit and implicit content of literary texts of greater difficulty in terms of volume, content, and reading requirements; understand with the demand for developing critical thinking; apply knowledge about the linguistic features of literature, literary trends and movements, author and work styles, and internal and external factors of the text to form independent reading competencies.
Write proficiently in argumentative and informative text styles (combining expressive methods and argumentative operations), correctly following the process, have opinions, ensure logic, and be persuasive.
Speak and listen flexibly; be able to listen and evaluate the content as well as the expressive form of presentations; participate, have opinions, individuality, and an appropriate attitude in debates.
Development of literary competencies with requirements: distinguish literary works from other types of artistic works; analyze and comment on the characteristics of literary language; differentiate the expressed and the meant in literature; recognize, analyze, and appreciate literary works based on literary style characteristics; have a rich imagination, know how to appreciate, accept, and evaluate literature; be able to create some products with literary nature.
