How many credits are students pursuing the college program in medicine testing technology in Vietnam required to complete?
Under Subsection 1, Section A, Part 6 of the Regulation issued with Circular 54/2018/TT-BLDTBXH:
Overview of the major
College-level medicine testing technology is a major focusing on sampling; analyzing basic, common quality indicators of raw materials, intermediate products, and final products; and analyzing specific medicine indicators using methods such as physical, chemical, biological, gravimetric, volumetric, spectrophotometric, and chromatographic techniques. These tasks are carried out using specialized instruments, equipment, machinery, and reagents according to exact standards and procedures to ensure accuracy, safety, and efficiency. The results are aggregated, evaluated, and managed within testing laboratories to meet level 5 of the Vietnam National Qualification Framework.
A practitioner in the "medicine testing technology" field will perform duties as an inspector or manage testing operations at pharmaceutical-cosmetic testing centers, preventive medicine centers, pharmaceutical production and trading enterprises, pharmaceutical preservation, training institution laboratories, and research units.
Those in the "medicine testing technology" career typically work under conditions involving frequent contact with analytical chemicals, fragile glass instruments, and high-precision analytical machines and equipment. Careful, meticulous handling is necessary, and work often involves interaction with machinery and equipment in various pharmaceutical production and trading environments.
Minimum Knowledge Volume: 2,500 hours (equivalent to 90 credits).
Thus, students pursuing the college program in medicine testing technology in Vietnam must complete a minimum of 2,500 hours (equivalent to 90 credits).
