- Install electrical systems in refrigeration for aquaculture;
- Operate refrigeration systems for aquaculture;
- Maintain refrigeration systems for aquaculture;
- Repair machines and refrigeration equipment for aquaculture;
- Maintain and repair electrical equipment within the refrigeration system;
- Trade in refrigeration materials and equipment for aquaculture;
- Provide consulting services for machinery and refrigeration equipment.

What is the college-level mechanical refrigeration seafood in Vietnam?
Under sub-section 1 Section A Part 9 of the Regulations issued together with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the college-level mechanical refrigeration seafood in Vietnam is defined as follows:
The college-level mechanical refrigeration seafood in Vietnam involves professionals performing tasks related to the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and refrigeration systems on fishing vessels, in processing and preservation plants, and in units installing and consulting on aquaculture refrigeration systems. This meets the requirements of level 5 according to the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.
Key duties in the mechanical refrigeration seafood major include: installing aquaculture refrigeration systems; installing electricity in refrigeration systems for aquaculture; operating refrigeration systems for aquaculture; maintaining refrigeration systems for aquaculture; repairing machines and refrigeration equipment for aquaculture; maintaining and repairing electrical equipment within refrigeration systems; trading in refrigeration materials and equipment for aquaculture, ensuring technical accuracy and safety for people and equipment. Additionally, the work may take place in consulting units and businesses providing machinery and refrigeration equipment services.

What are the minimum requirements for skills of graduates of college-level mechanical refrigeration seafood in Vietnam?
Under sub-section 3 Section A Part 9 of the Regulations issued together with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the skill requirements for graduates are as follows:
- Be able to read installation drawings of aquaculture mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems;
- Be able to organize and implement safety measures against fire, use of electricity and refrigeration substances, accident prevention, and first aid;
- Be able to operate, maintain, and repair aquaculture refrigeration systems and refrigeration systems on fishing vessels;
- Be able to inspect, identify, and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration faults in the refrigeration system;
- Be able to calculate refrigeration loads, select and preliminarily install mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems for small cold storage units meeting technical and safety standards;
- Be able to operate refrigeration equipment in aquaculture systems correctly, optimizing operational parameters;
- Be able to maintain mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems in accordance with procedures ensuring safety of people and equipment;
- Be able to identify causes of faults and repair common mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration equipment issues in aquaculture;
- Proficiently use mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration tools ensuring safety and meeting technical requirements;
- Proficiently use personal protective equipment ensuring technical standards and handling first aid when incidents occur;- Be able to organize and manage production activities of installation, operation, maintenance, and repair teams within their specialization;
- Be able to develop solutions to minimize harmful emissions in the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of aquaculture refrigeration systems;
- Proficiently use basic informatics skills in compliance with regulations, utilizing and applying IT in professional tasks within the industry;
- Basically use foreign languages, achieve level 2/6 in the Vietnamese Foreign Language Proficiency Framework, and apply foreign languages in professional tasks within the industry.
