- Software installation and configuration;

- Computer assembly and maintenance;

- Computer repair;

- Repair of computer peripheral devices;

- Network system analysis and design;

- Network system installation.

How many credits are students pursuing the college program in computer repair and assembly techniques in Vietnam required to complete?

Pursuant to Subsection 1, Section A, Part 1 of the Regulations issued together with Circular 44/2018/TT-BLDTBXH:

Overview of the major

College-level computer repair and assembly techniques is a field that involves: Repairing basic components of computer systems, peripheral devices; assembling computer hardware systems; installing software; designing and installing computer network systems; repairing laptops; maintaining laptops; maintaining computer systems; upgrading computer systems.

Computer repair and assembly technian typically work at companies with computer systems and office equipment; buildings equipped with computer systems; businesses dealing in computers and information technology equipment, manufacturers, and computer maintenance service providers.

Computer repair and assembly technian musst be have carefulness, electrical and electronic safety awareness; scientific thinking, creativity, the ability to work independently or in teams; proficiency in English to read and understand technical documents; discipline, good health, passion for the job, full awareness of community and social responsibility, meeting Level 5 requirements in the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.

Minimum knowledge volume: 2,250 hours (equivalent to 84 credits).

Thus, students pursuing the college program in computer repair and assembly techniques in Vietnam must complete 84 credits (equivalent to 2,250 hours).

What are the minimum knowledge and competence requirements for graduates of college-level computer repair and assembly techniques in Vietnam?

Under Subsections 2 and 3, Section A, Part 1 of the Regulations issued together with Circular 44/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum knowledge and competence requirements for graduates of college-level computer repair and assembly techniques in Vietnam are as follows:

* Regarding knowledge:

- Describe basic knowledge about computers, computer electronics, and computer networks;

- Identify the structure and operating principles of components in computer systems;

- Read and understand the technical specifications of computer hardware components;

- Explain the principles and methods of data storage in computers;

- Describe the operating principles of operating systems;

- Illustrate the processes of assembling, installing, repairing, and maintaining computer systems, including peripheral devices;

- Illustrate the processes of disassembling, installing, repairing, and maintaining laptops;

- Analyze, plan, select, and design network systems for enterprises;

- Analyze, evaluate, and propose solutions for issues and situations in the computer system and peripheral devices;

- Analyze and evaluate the current state of computer systems, plan the upgrade of computer systems and networks;

- Identify occupational safety standards;

- Explain basic knowledge about politics, culture, society, law, national defense, security, and physical education as required.

* Regarding skills:

- Use basic information technology as prescribed;

- Install computer systems and components, peripheral devices;

- Assemble, install, configure operating systems and software applications;

- Diagnose and repair computer hardware and peripheral devices;

- Diagnose and resolve computer software issues;

- Maintain, repair, and upgrade computer software and hardware;

- Design, construct, install, and maintain network systems;

- Manage and operate the production of a workshop, a technical unit, a computer assembly, maintenance, and management shop for network systems;

- Implement industrial hygiene measures, occupational safety;

- Utilize basic foreign language skills, achieve level 2/6 according to the Vietnamese Foreign Language Proficiency Framework; apply foreign languages in professional work in the field.
