- For full-time training programs in Law-Management: 41,830,000 VND.

- For full-time training programs in the English Language, specializing in Legal English: 37,500,000 VND.

- For high-quality full-time training programs in Law, Business Administration: 70,500,000 VND.

- For high-quality full-time training programs in Law-Management: 83,660,000 VND.

- For high-quality full-time training programs in Law, taught in English: 165,000,000 VND.

- For high-quality full-time training programs in Law, offered in cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City University of Law and the University of Arizona, USA: Tuition fee includes 70,500,000 VND and 4,800 USD.

What are the principles of determining tuition at public universities in Vietnam?

Under Article 8 Decree No. 81/2021/ND-CP, the principles of determining tuition at public universities in Vietnam are as follows:

- Public higher education institutions that have guaranteed recurrent expenditure partially and public higher education institutions that have recurrent expenditure guaranteed by the government (hereinafter referred to as “public higher education institutions that have not guaranteed recurrent expenditure entirely”) shall determine tuition without exceeding the top limit under Point a Clause 1 and Point a Clause 2 Article 11 of Decree No. 81/2021/ND-CP;

- Public higher education institutions that have guaranteed recurrent expenditure and investment expenditure entirely and public higher education institutions that have guaranteed recurrent expenditure shall determine tuition for each major with variables compared to the top limit applicable to public higher education institutions that have not guaranteed recurrent expenditure entirely under Clause 2 Article 11 of Decree No. 81/2021/ND-CP;

- For training programs of public higher education institutions that satisfy quality control standards of the Ministry of Education and Training or quality control standards of foreign countries or equivalent, higher education institutions are allowed to determine tuition of the training programs on the basis of economic and technical norms issued by the higher education institutions while publicizing and presenting to learners and the general public.

What are the cases of tuition reduction in Vietnam?

According to Article 16 Decree No. 81/2021/ND-CP, students in the following cases will receive tuition reduction:

Case 1: Eligibility for a tuition reduction of 70% includes:

- Students pursuing traditional arts and specific majors in public, private vocational education institutions and higher education institutions providing cultural - artistic training;

- Students pursuing traditional art forms or taxing, toxic, or hazardous occupations in case of vocational education as per lists of taxing, toxic, or hazardous occupations regulated by Ministry of Labor – War Invalids and Social Affairs;

- Students who are ethnic minorities (other than very minor ethnic minorities) in hamlets with particular difficulties, communes in category III areas, ethnic regions and mountainous regions, communes with difficulties in coastal regions and islands according to regulations of competent authority.

Case 2: Eligibility for a tuition reduction of 50% includes: students who are children of officials, public officials, or workers whose parent suffers from occupational accidents or diseases and receive regular benefits;

What are the cases of tuition exemption in Vietnam?

Under Article 15 Decree No. 81/2021/ND-CP, students in the following cases will be exempt from tuition:

- Individuals mentioned under the Ordinance on benefits for people with meritorious services to the revolution when pursuing education institutions affiliated with the national education system;

- Students with disabilities;

- Students aged 16 to 22 pursuing their first degree at a higher education institution and receiving monthly social allowances as per clauses 1 and 2 Article 5 of Decree 20/2021/ND-CP;

- Orphaned college students without parental support according to the Vocational Education Law 2014.

- Students in reserved admission programs (including those in reserved vocational training programs lasting from three months or more) as per the Vietnam Government regulations on reserved admission policies for higher education and vocational education institutions within the national education system.

- Students from ethnic minorities pursuing at vocational and higher education institutions whose parents or grandparents (if living with grandparents) belong to poor or near-poor households as per the Prime Minister's regulations.

- Students pursuing Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Ideology.

- Students in specific fields such as Leprosy, Leprosy, Mental health, Forensic pathology, Forensic psychiatry, and Pathology at public health worker training institutions according to the state's ordering quota.

- Students from very few ethnic minorities as per clause 1 Article 2 of Decree 57/2017/ND-CP in disadvantaged or exceptionally disadvantaged areas as per current regulations of the competent authority.

- Students are under programs and schemes with tuition exemptions as per the Vietnamese government regulations.

- College students pursuing difficult-to-recruit fields but needed by society as per the list issued by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs.

- Students in professions with specific expertise to meet the socio-economic, defense, and security development needs as per the Vocational Education Law 2014.
