PROGRAM CONTENT
1. Volume of knowledge and retraining duration
a) The program consists of 08 topics, structured into 03 parts:
- Part I: General knowledge (including 03 topics).
- Part II: Knowledge about professional activities (including 05 topics).
- Part III: Evaluation of retraining results.
b) Retraining duration:
- The total duration is: 03 weeks x 05 working days/week x 08 lessons/day = 120 lessons (can be held on weekends, total duration 120 lessons).
- Time allocation:
+ Theoretical, discussion: 72 lessons;
+ Completion of situational exercises, practical guidance: 44 lessons;
+ Evaluation of retraining results: 04 lessons.

RETRAINING PARTICIPANTS
1. Officials teaching the primary education program include: teachers, principals, vice-principals (collectively referred to as primary school teachers) in primary schools, multi-level schools with primary levels, public specialized schools, and other educational institutions teaching the primary education program (collectively referred to as primary schools) who do not have retraining certificates according to the professional title standards as regulated.
2. Individuals who need to retrain and have a retraining certificate according to the professional title standards for primary school teachers.
Principals and vice-principals of primary schools shall participate in the retraining program for the professional titles of primary school teachers.

What are the regulations on the evaluation of retraining results of primary school teachers in Vietnam?
Under Section 5 of the retraining program according to the professional title standards for primary school teachers issued with Decision 2001/QD-BGDDT in 2023, the regulations on the evaluation of retraining results of primary school teachers in Vietnam are as follows:
(1) Trainees are assessed as meeting the requirements and are issued a retraining certificate if they meet the following requirements:
- Participate fully in the training according to the program's regulations.
- Complete the evaluation as required by the training institution and achieve a score of 5 or higher.
- Comply fully and correctly with the laws on public employee retraining; and adhere to the internal regulations of the retraining institution.
(2) In case the trainee’s examination, report, or thesis as required by the retraining institution scores below 5, they are allowed to retake the exam, redo the report, or rewrite the thesis once according to the internal regulations of the retraining institution.
(3) The retraining institution specifically stipulates in the internal regulations the cases that do not meet the requirements to be issued the retraining certificate.
