Method 1: Admission by a combination of upper secondary academic results and high school graduation exam results
Eligible candidates: Candidates applying for Method 1 must have a total score of 15 points or more from the three exam subjects by combination used for admission in the high school graduation exam.
Method 2: Admission by the 2024 high school graduation exam results
Eligible candidates: Candidates participating in the 2024 high school graduation exam organized by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET).
Method 3: Admission by the Thinking Skills Assessment (TSA) exam scores of 2023 and 2024
Eligible candidates: Candidates must achieve 40/100 points or higher.
Method 4: Direct admission by foreign language certificates
Eligible candidates: Candidates must have an average score of 6.0 or higher in academic subjects (excluding Physical Education and National Defense Education) for the three years of grades 10, 11, and 12 (for 2024 high school graduates, only the first semester of grade 12 is considered) and an average score in Mathematics of no less than 6.0.

- Candidates are allowed to register for a maximum of 2 aspirations and will be considered based on their prioritized aspirations. If a candidate meets the score for any aspiration, they will study the field according to the aspiration they have been accepted into.
- The part-time undergraduate program is the same program applied to the full-time training format at Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
- Part-time undergraduate focuses on enhancing practical skills.
Therefore, when a candidate registers for the part-time undergraduate program, they will be able to choose one of four short courses to enhance practical skills: Computer Programming, Network and System Management, Social Media Marketing, Graphic Design, and will study these alongside the undergraduate program for early exposure to businesses.
- The converted foreign language scores (English, French, Japanese, German) for candidates exempted from the national high school graduation exam in 2024 shall not be used for admission.
- Additional condition when considering admission: In cases where the number of candidates meeting the passing threshold exceeds the quota for a field, candidates with equal scores at the last position on the admission list will be considered based on an additional condition, which is the high school graduation exam score in Mathematics, and for the English Language field, it will be the high school graduation exam score in English.

a) Information provision: Each interested candidate must be provided with complete, clear, reliable, consistent, and prompt information to make appropriate decisions and best prepare for enrollment;
b) Opportunity to apply: No candidate should lose their opportunity to apply due to unrelated regulations (except specific regulations by the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense in defense and security fields) or because of cumbersome, costly procedures;
c) Capability assessment: Candidates must be objectively, fairly, and reliably assessed on their academic abilities and potential success to meet the requirements of the program and field of study;
d) Admission opportunity: Candidates should have the highest opportunity to be admitted and the right to determine preferred fields and programs they qualify for;
dd) Fulfillment of commitments: educational institutions must fulfill their commitments to candidates; provide advice, support, and address complaints to protect candidates' legitimate rights in cases of risk.
2. Equality among educational institutions
a) Cooperation: educational institutions should cooperate on equal terms to improve the quality and efficiency of enrollment, bringing the best benefits to candidates;
b) Competition: educational institutions should engage in honest, fair, and healthy competition in enrollment according to the law on competition.
3. Transparency to Society
a) Regarding information transparency: Educational institutions are responsible for publicly announcing full, clear, and prompt admission information through suitable media for public and regulatory oversight;
b) Regarding accountability: Educational institutions are obliged to report upon request by regulatory agencies and explain issues of great concern to the public in a suitable manner.
