- Developing teaching and education plans for students; participating in developing teaching and education plans for students in the professional group according to the objectives and primary education program;

- Implementing the primary education curriculum and the school's education plan;

- Applying teaching and education methods that focus on developing students' qualities and abilities; participating in identifying and nurturing talented students; participating in applied educational science research and creating teaching materials and equipment for the primary level;

- Completing all professional and vocational training courses as prescribed; self-studying and training to improve political, professional, and vocational levels; participating in professional activities as required; participating in popular education, compulsory education, and illiteracy eradication, inclusive education;

- Collaborating with students' parents and social forces in educating students, performing counseling tasks for primary school students;

- Performing other duties assigned by the principal.

Section 2 of the Continuous Training Program for teachers in general education institutions issued with Circular 17/2019/TT-BGDDT specifies the participants of the Continuous Training Program for teachers in general education institutions as follows:

Participants

The continuous training program for teachers in general education institutions applies to teachers teaching in primary schools, lower secondary schools, upper secondary schools, multiple-level general education schools, specialized schools, boarding schools for ethnic minorities, semi-boarding schools for ethnic minorities (hereinafter referred to as general education institutions).

Grade III primary school teachers who teach in primary schools are participants in the continuous training program.

What are the contents of the continuous training program for Grade III primary school teachers in Vietnam?

According to Section 3 of the Continuous Training Program for teachers in general education institutions issued with Circular 17/2019/TT-BGDDT, the training program is specified as follows:

Training program content

The continuous training program for teachers in general education institutions is designed to meet job position requirements; it includes compulsory annual knowledge and skill training in the subject area, comprising:

1. The training program to update knowledge and skills in the subject area to meet the requirements of performing academic year tasks for various educational levels (referred to as Training Program 01): The Ministry of Education and Training specifies the annual training content on education policies, general education curriculum, subject content, and educational activities within the general education curriculum.

2. The training program to update knowledge and skills to perform tasks of developing general education according to each local period (referred to as Training Program 02): The Departments of Education and Training specify annual training content on local general education development, implementation of the general education program, local education programs; cooperate with projects to implement continuous training plans (if any).

3. The training program to develop professional competence according to job position requirements (referred to as Training Program 03): Teachers in general education institutions self-select training modules aimed at developing professional qualities and competence to meet job position requirements. The number of self-selected modules must ensure compliance with the training duration specified in Clause 2, Section IV of this Program. The training modules:

- Training Program 01: Updating knowledge and skills in the subject area to meet the requirements of performing academic year tasks for various educational levels.

- Training Program 02: Updating knowledge and skills to perform tasks of developing general education according to each local period.

- Training Program 03: Developing professional competence according to job position requirements.
