- To form and develop in students core qualities: patriotism, compassion, diligence, honesty, and responsibility; to nurture the soul, shape character, and develop personality.

The subject of Literature helps students explore themselves and the world around them, understand humanity, have a rich soul, possess humanistic views and behaviors; love the Vietnamese language and literature; have a sense of origin and national identity, contributing to preserving and developing Vietnamese cultural values; embrace global cultural essence and international integration capability.

- To contribute to helping students develop common competencies: self-reliance and self-learning, communication and cooperation, problem-solving, and creativity.
