Sample 1

I truly like the poem by an anonymous poet about the love and sacrifice of parents "No one is as good as a mother in this world/ No one bears the burden of life like a father." If a mother provides us with endless affection, then a father quietly sacrifices, enduring hardships to raise us to become proper individuals. I like that poem, for every time I hear it, I think of my beloved father.

My father is nearly forty years old this year, an age where a person is most robust and dignified. His well-proportioned figure with a tall stature and brown skin exudes strength and vitality. His angular face reflects the determination and seriousness of a mature man. This face bears the marks of life's hardships, like a few scars or sunspots on his cheeks. His deep-set eyes are extremely lively. Sometimes, my father's eyes are stern, other times full of love. His high nose enhances his handsome, distinguished appearance. It pairs well with his bright smile.

As an engineer, my father has calloused hands. His fingers now seem thicker and no longer have the slender look of the youthful hands he once had. The palms are rough, yet somehow, I love holding those hands. When I place my small hand in them, I seem to feel all the struggles my father has endured. My mother told me that when I took my first steps, my father was the one who guided me. Unfortunately, I once fell, and he rushed over to hold me in his arms. Back then, I only knew to cry out "dad...dad..." As I grew older, there was a time I fell off my bike, and my father no longer comforted me as he did back then. He looked at me sternly and scolded me. I still cried, out of defiance. Then I understood, he was worried about me and wanted me to be more mature in the long journey of life ahead.

My father is the person I respect the most. Throughout my life, the image of a father tirelessly working for his family will always be etched in my heart. I pray for my father to always be healthy, happy, and at peace.
Sample 2

"A father's work is as vast as Mount Tai" - this folk saying remains true even today. If my mother gives me a gentle hand and sweet love, my father is like a support in life, providing a love that is full yet stern. To me, my father is not just the breadwinner of the family or just a father but also a hero, a moral role model for me to learn from and follow.

My father is not very tall, just one meter sixty-seven, but his figure is quite full. However, he is very agile in his work. He also has a square face with a kind look. I know this because I've heard many people praise him, and I'm truly proud of my father. His fair complexion makes many women envious. After working in the fields, when washing the mud off in a small creek, everyone admires his skin.

My father's eyes are large and moist, shining kindly at night like the stars in the night sky. His lips are beautiful, and his teeth are lined up like corn kernels, enhancing his gentle features. Especially when he smiles, it fills me with happiness; it's a radiant smile, a gentle, sincere smile of a farmer. Moreover, his hands are special, hands that care for me daily, pat my cheek, cuddle me, and even discipline me. His hands are not soft like many others because farming is the main occupation in our home, making them calloused from plowing, worn from sun and rain in the fields. Yet these hands are full of love when comforting small children, still stroking my head with sweetness. This helps me partly understand the hardships my father endures for me. These rough, short hands also write beautifully and create lovely objects for the home, including beautiful houses. Witnessing the red bricks neatly lined beside the mortar truly pleases the eye.

And now as time passes, the hardships my father has endured are etched into the lines on his face and his graying hair. Not long ago, his hair began to turn gray, not entirely white but no longer black – a hair color of morning mist, of the harsh midday sun on the fields, and of those summer rain showers. All the trials of life, the struggles of raising children, seem etched in the wrinkles of his eyes. Every time he smiles, those lines become more visible or sometimes I catch them when he is deep in thought. While time has taken his youthful years, even now he remains my protector from life's dangers, a steadfast pillar and a hand to lift me when I fall.

I adore my father, and if I had one wish, it would always be for his good health so he can be with me forever. If my mother is like an angel or a fairy godmother in my eyes, then my father is like a hero, a gentle godfather who not only brings magic to my life but also provides fatherly love that is protective and sacred.
