Under Article 12 Circular 16/2022/TT-BGDDT, the standards on specialized equipment in libraries of lower secondary schools in Vietnam are:

- Standard on specialized equipment Level 1

- Have enough specialized equipment, including: Cabinets, shelves, bookshelves, desks and chairs for students; desks and chairs for teachers; desks, chairs, cabinets for librarians; a cabinet or box of catalogs, catalogs, book introductions; manuals for libraries and other equipment;

- The requirements for specialized equipment must be suitable for the age group of primary school students and specified at Point b, Clause 1, Article 7 of Circular 16/2022/TT-BGDDT.

- Standard on specialized equipment Level 2

A primary school library is considered meeting the specialized equipment standards Level 2 if it meets the requirements as prescribed in clause 1 of Article 12 of Circular 16/2022/TT-BGDDT and the following requirements:

- Having sufficient specialized equipment to ensure library activities in the students’ reading room, teacher’s reading room, library stack, circulation desk;
