The general education program is divided into two stages: the basic education stage (from grade 1 to grade 9) and the career-oriented education stage (from grade 10 to grade 12).
The system of subjects and educational activities of the general education program includes compulsory subjects and educational activities, elective subjects oriented towards careers (referred to as elective subjects), and optional subjects.
Thus, according to the above regulations, the general education program is divided into two stages: the basic education stage (from grade 1 to grade 9) and the career-oriented education stage (from grade 10 to grade 12).
What traits and competencies are required for 11th-grade students under the applicable general education program in Vietnam?
Under Section III of the General Education Program issued together with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the requirements for traits and competencies are defined as follows:
- The general education program shapes and develops the following essential traits in students: patriotism, compassion, diligence, honesty, and responsibility.
+ The general education program develops the following core competencies in students:
+ General competencies that are formed and developed through all subjects and educational activities: autonomous and self-learning capacity, communication and cooperation capacity, problem-solving and creativity capacity;
