Good deeds, no matter how small, bring joy and meaning to life. Helping others or being helped by someone not only reflects love but also teaches us to care and share. Below is a sample paragraph about helping others or being helped by someone that students can refer to.

Sample 1:

I have done a good deed by helping an elderly beggar. On the way home, I came across an old lady sitting by the roadside begging. She looked pitiful, I guessed she must be over eighty years old, her face was wrinkled with dark spots. She was leaning on a cane, holding out a torn and patched hat asking passersby for money. I suddenly remembered I had a pair of socks and a jacket in my backpack. I gave them to her and said: "I'm just a child so I don't have money to help you, but I have socks and my grandmother's jacket. Please take them to keep warm." I felt very happy to have done something meaningful.

Sample 2:

Last week, I helped an elderly person cross the street. Amidst a busy road, I saw an old man looking unsure whether to go or wait. I approached him and learned he wanted to cross but didn’t know how. I took his hand and said, "Grandpa, let me help you cross the street!" The old man smiled, looking very touched. I waited for the red light, when the vehicles stopped, and the pedestrian light turned green, then began guiding him. We walked slowly across to the other side. The old man held my hand and emotionally said, "Thank you very much!" I smiled and replied, "You're welcome!" and respectfully bid him goodbye.

Sample 3:

Yesterday, while playing soccer with friends on the school ground, the ball flew into a nearby pond. Just when I was puzzled about what to do, the security guard came over. After hearing me explain the situation, he helped us retrieve the ball. Upon receiving the ball, we were all thrilled. We thanked him for his help, and this made us appreciate him even more.

Sample 4:

Last Friday, on the way to school, I suddenly saw Khanh pushing his bicycle. Upon asking, I learned his tire got punctured by a nail. Together, we pushed the bicycle to a nearby repair shop. I then gave Khanh a ride to class. As we entered the school gates, the bell rang. Khanh thanked me. I was also very happy to have helped my friend.

Sample 5:

Last Saturday night, I went to the supermarket with my mother. As I was engrossed in a favorite book, I lost sight of my mother. Feeling worried, I didn't know what to do until a supermarket employee came to reassure me and brought me to the broadcast room for a lost children announcement. Shortly after, my mother arrived and picked me up. I hugged her, cried, and thanked the employee for the help.

Sample 6:

Yesterday, while playing shuttlecock on the school ground, I accidentally got the shuttlecock stuck in a tree branch. Unsure what to do, the security guard approached. After hearing my explanation, he climbed the tree and retrieved the shuttlecock for me. Receiving it, I was so happy, I quickly thanked him before taking it with both hands. The entire game, I felt joyful inside for being helped.

Sample 7:

Near my home, there is a very steep hill, and that day while returning home from school, I had to get off my bike to push it up the hill. As I was pushing, I lost hold of the handlebars, and the bike started rolling back down. I felt frightened and scared. Suddenly, someone from behind quickly grabbed the bike for me. After securing it, he helped push it up the hill. I was very thankful to him.
