- Centralized continuous professional development materials: Compiled and published in the form of publications, audio tapes, video tapes, and other information storage devices in accordance with the continuous professional development program and the provisions of this Regulation.
- Distance continuous professional development materials: Compiled in the form of learning materials that ensure the full delivery of content and requirements of the continuous professional development program so that learners can learn and develop independently as stipulated in this Regulation.
(audio and video recordings; radio programs, television programs; printed books, guided teaching and learning materials with computer assistance; internet-based exercises and discussion sessions, remote conferencing; virtual practicum, simulated practicum, and actual practicum or other suitable learning materials)
- Semi-centralized continuous professional development materials: A combination of centralized and distance continuous professional development materials.
Regulations for Educational Institutions Performing Continuous Professional Development for Teachersin Vietnam
Based on Article 10 of the Regulation issued together with Circular 19/2019/TT-BGDDT, educational institutions performing continuous professional development for teachers in Vietnam are regulated as follows:
(1). Educational institutions performing continuous professional development tasks include:
- Teacher training institutions: Pedagogical schools, educational institutions with pedagogical faculties, educational institutions authorized to train and develop educators;
- Educational institutions for managerial training: Pedagogical schools, universities with educational management faculties, educational institutions authorized to train and develop educational managers.
(2). Educational institutions performing continuous professional development tasks must meet the following requirements:
- Being institutions as specified in clause 1, Article 10 of the Regulation issued together with Circular 19/2019/TT-BGDDT;
- Ensuring the capacity to develop continuous professional development materials as stipulated in Article 7 of the Regulation issued together with Circular 19/2019/TT-BGDDT;
- Ensuring a team of lecturers meeting the standards specified in Article 9 of the Regulation issued together with Circular 19/2019/TT-BGDDT;
- Having facilities and technical equipment to support the professional development, including an integrated information system for periodic data collection and processing regarding lecturers, teachers, and managers;
Having a system for recording and processing feedback from relevant parties on the progress in development to improve and enhance the quality of teacher and manager development; maintaining regular availability and readiness of hardware and software technology for effective use by lecturers, teachers, and managers;
(3). Educational institutions perform continuous professional development tasks through assignment or contract-based methods.
