What are the sample stories on solidarity under the 5th-grade Vietnamese Language curriculum?

Students can refer to the following sample stories on solidarity under the 5th-grade Vietnamese Language curriculum:

The Bundle of Sticks

Once upon a time, in a village, there was a very wealthy man. He had five children. Because of their wealthy lifestyle, they became selfish, greedy, and often competed with each other. As the children grew up, they each became rich due to their parent's wealth. Despite having their own estates, they still quarreled over possessions. Seeing his children behave this way, the father felt very sad. He tried to advise them, but their jealousy had run too deep. This caused him much heartache and he fell ill. Knowing he didn't have much longer to live, he summoned his children to his bedside and asked a servant to bring him two bundles of sticks. His children, puzzled, watched as the father handed each of them a stick and said:

- Each of you, take a stick and break it for me.

In an instant, all five children had easily broken their sticks. The father remained silent, and the children watched in expectation. After a while, he gave the entire bundle to the eldest and gently said:

- You easily succeeded in breaking one stick. Now, take turns breaking this entire bundle for me.

The eldest struggled but could not break the bundle. The father waited patiently until the fifth child had tried and given up, then he calmly said:

- Look, this is the power of unity. If you continue to bicker and divide, each of you will be alone and weak, like a single stick, and will be broken easily by your enemies. However, if you unite and support each other like this bundle of sticks, no force can break you.

The five children understood and were moved by their father's lesson. Regretting their discord, they embraced him with tears, promising to abandon their selfishness and unite in love.

After the father passed away, the five children followed his advice. They remained united and affectionate, leading a harmonious family life that no one could contest in their prosperous business...

Lesson:

Unity creates strength. Like a bundle of sticks, if we separate them, it's easy to break, but together, they cannot be broken. Family members must love and support each other to overcome life's challenges.

Kind-hearted Tra

Back then, I was in grade one. In class, I noticed that Tra was very united and kind.

Tra was the top student in class. She was petite and very agile. Sitting next to Tra was Thu, who was slow in learning and had poor handwriting. Thu's skin was dark, with a face full of freckles. Thu's family was poor, and her notebooks were of low quality, so when the teacher asked them to use ink pens, Thu's writing became smudged and messy. Tra enthusiastically taught Thu how to gently use her pen to avoid ink smudges. One day, someone played a prank by rubbing chalk on Thu's notebook pages. Thu cried when she saw the ink spreading as soon as she started writing. Tra flipped to a fresh page and urged Thu to write quickly before class started. Tra then said to Thu: “Let me keep your notebook safe. We don't need to tell the teacher. If Thu improves her handwriting, no one will dare bother her!". Every school day, Tra kept Thu's notebook as if it were her own. Quick in everything, Tra often helped Thu with math and writing, and invited Kim Chi and Minh Tinh to play jump rope with Thu. Gradually, no one bullied Thu anymore. Thu's grades improved, her handwriting became neat, and she caught up with her math. The entire class played together, forgetting past incidents.

Now in grade four, I still remember the story from first grade. It showed me the kindness and unity in helping classmates, embodied by Tra herself. Tra is someone I truly respect and learn from.
