Sample No. 1:

One of the best stories I have learned is the story of The Good Friends.

The story tells of a famous Greek artist, Arion. Once, after participating in a competition and winning many valuable gifts, Arion was targeted by greedy sailors who schemed to harm him to steal his wealth. Before jumping off the ship, Arion asked to perform one last piece of music in his life. This very music saved him, attracting a friendly group of dolphins. They were mesmerized by the music and welcomed Arion as he jumped off the ship, safely bringing him ashore ahead of the sailors. Once safely ashore, Arion accused the sailors of the king, but the king did not believe him and imprisoned Arion. It was only when the sailors returned and fabricated a story about Arion staying on an island that the king believed Arion and called for him. Eventually, the sailors were rightfully punished, and Arion regained his freedom along with the gifts on the ship.

The story, with its interesting developments, conveyed a beautiful tale of friendship between humans and dolphins.

Sample No. 2:

In class, I learned a very interesting and meaningful story. It's the story of The Tortoise and the Hare.

The story is about a tortoise that is very diligent and hardworking. To train its health, it ran in the forest daily. Though it was very tiring and progress was slow, the tortoise never thought of giving up. One day, a hare approached and mocked the tortoise. The hare believed that no matter how hard it trained, the tortoise would always be slow. Angrily, the tortoise decided to challenge the hare to a race.

Under the watchful eyes of everyone in the forest, the race began. Right after the whistle blew, the tortoise resolutely ran forward. Meanwhile, the hare, underestimating the tortoise, got occupied with picking flowers and chasing butterflies, eventually falling asleep on the grass. By the time it woke up, the hardworking tortoise was close to the finish line. Amidst everyone's cheering, the tortoise claimed a glorious victory.

The story of The Tortoise and the Hare taught me the importance of perseverance and hard work toward one’s goals. Never be lazy or overconfident, as it can lead to failure.

Sample No. 3:

Among the stories I have learned, my favorite is The Hundred-Knot Bamboo Tale.

The tale is about a kind, hardworking, and honest farmer. He was promised by the landlord to marry his daughter if he worked for him for three years, amassing great wealth. However, when the time came, the landlord went back on his word. He asked the farmer to find a bamboo with a hundred knots before he would allow the marriage.

While the farmer was helplessly searching in the forest, back home, the landlord held a wedding, marrying his daughter to another wealthy man. Fortunately, a fairy appeared and helped the farmer. He instructed the farmer to cut one hundred bamboo segments and taught him a magic chant to join them and separate them conveniently.

Returning home, the farmer was enraged upon seeing the lavish wedding. He rushed in to demand justice. Seeing the landlord's brazen betrayal, the farmer used the magic chant to attach him to the bamboo until he agreed to keep his promise.

The tale of The Hundred-Knot Bamboo advised readers not to be deceitful and to keep their promises.

Sample No. 4:

Among the stories learned, my favorite is the story of The Starfruit Tree.

The Starfruit Tree is a Vietnamese folktale carrying meaningful lessons. It tells the story of two brothers with opposite characteristics. The elder brother was greedy and lazy, while the younger was kind and hardworking.

After their father's death, the elder brother gave his younger sibling a single old starfruit tree and a thatched hut, keeping the entire fortune for himself. The younger brother worked diligently each day, taking care of the starfruit tree. That year, the tree bore much sweet fruit, attracting an unusual bird that came to eat. Hearing the younger brother's plight, the bird promised to repay him with gold. It took him to an island to collect gold. This made the younger brother wealthy. Learning of this, the elder brother traded his fortune for the starfruit tree and mimicked his sibling. However, out of greed, he crafted a bag four times the size suggested by the bird and collected too much gold, causing the bird to struggle. On the way back, a big storm hit, and he, along with the gold, fell into the deep sea.

The story taught me about honesty and hard work in life. Being greedy and deceitful will lead to a tragic end like the elder brother.

Sample No. 5:

My childhood was immersed in a treasure trove of fairy tales. Each story I learned at school and heard from my grandmother is etched in my memory. One story I remember most is The Shell Princess. The story goes:

Long ago, in a distant village, there was a very poor old woman. She looked haggard, weak, her face wrinkled, pale, and sorrowful. She lived alone, with no children or grandchildren to help and care for her. Every day, she went out to catch crabs and snails to earn a living.

One day, the old woman caught a beautiful snail, slightly larger than her thumb, with a shining emerald shell glistening under the sunlight. Overjoyed, she cradled it in her gnarled, sunburned hand. Growing fond of the snail, she didn’t sell it for rice money. Instead, she brought it home to keep in a water jar. Day by day, she continued her work, catching snails and crabs as usual, but when she returned home, she was astonished to find her garden tidy, the pigs and chickens fed, the vegetable garden weeded, and meals prepared. She wondered who had been helping her.

According to Clause 1, Article 5 of the Regulations on the assessment of primary school students issued with Circular 27/2020/TT-BGDDT, the assessment criteria include:

(1) Assess learning process, progression and academic results of students satisfying requirements and specific display of capacities of each subject and academic activities according to formal primary education programs.

(2) Assess formation and development of traits and capacities of students via following primary traits and capacities:

- Primary traits: patriotism, humane, diligence, honesty, and sense of responsibility.

- Primary capacities:

+) General capacities: self-control, self-studying, communication, cooperation, problem resolution and creativity;

+) Specific capacities: language, calculation, science, technology, computer, aesthetic, and physical attributes.

How many levels are there in the periodic assessment for academic contents of subjects in Vietnam?

According to Point a, Clause 1, Article 7 of the Regulations on the assessment of primary school students issued with Circular 27/2020/TT-BGDDT, the levels of the periodic assessment for academic contents of subjects include:

- Good completion: excellently achieve academic requirements and regularly display specific capacities of subjects or academic activities;

- Completion: achieve academic requirements and display specific capacities of subjects or academic activities;

- Incompletion: fail to achieve any academic requirement or fail to display specific capacities of subjects or academic activities;
