Mother is the morning sunlight,
Guiding the child through peaceful days.
A mother's heart is always gentle and kind,
Leading the child through worries, storms.
(Mẹ là tia nắng ban mai,
Dìu con bước những tháng ngày bình yên.
Tấm lòng mẹ mãi dịu hiền,
Đưa con qua những muộn phiền, bão giông)
Early morning carrying rice across the bridge,
Silently enduring the winds and the changing times.
Never hesitating through hardships,
A mother's love remains gentle in my heart.
(Sớm hôm gánh gạo qua cầu,
Lặng thầm sương gió đổi màu thời gian.
Gian nan chẳng ngại lỡ làng,
Tình thương mẹ mãi dịu dàng trong con.)
Mother is the sweet milk drop,
Nurturing me to grow mature from a peaceful childhood.
Her slender figure, shoulders weary,
Love fully wrapped, expecting no reward.
(Mẹ là giọt sữa ngọt lành,
Nuôi con khôn lớn, an lành tuổi thơ.
Dáng gầy vai mẹ xác xơ,
Yêu thương gói trọn, chẳng chờ đền ơn.)
Stooped back against the wind and rain,
Life brings so much sorrow day after day.
Her slender figure still stands strong,
Guiding me firmly on the long path to the future.
(Lưng còng theo gió mưa sa,
Đời mang bao nỗi xót xa tháng ngày.
Dáng gầy mẹ vẫn thẳng ngay,
Đưa con vững bước đường dài tương lai.)
Rain falls drenching the midday path,
Mother carries so many burdens in her heart.
Hoping I grow up to be successful,
A mother's love is as vast as the ocean waves.
(Mưa rơi ướt đẫm đường trưa,
Mẹ mang bao nỗi gió mưa trong lòng.
Mong sao con lớn thành công,
Tình mẹ như biển mênh mông dạt dào.)
Sweetness from the early cradle,
Lullabies linger forever in mother's words.
Hoping I am cozy and sweet,
Though life may be difficult, let it be.
(Ngọt ngào từ thuở nằm nôi,
Lời ru thấm mãi trong lời mẹ trao.
Mong con yên ấm ngọt ngào,
Đời mẹ dẫu có lao đao chẳng màng.)
Mother is the village’s first breeze,
Carrying the scent of rice soothing a child's soul.
Leading me each step in uncertainty,
Helping me mature with a peaceful dream.
(Mẹ là ngọn gió đầu thôn,
Mang theo hương lúa mát hồn tuổi thơ.
Dắt con từng bước bơ vơ,
Cho con khôn lớn giấc mơ thanh bình.)
Guiding me through the paths,
Hoping I have a rounded, full life.
Not bothered by a fragile body,
A mother's love always serene in my heart.
(Dắt con qua những lối mòn,
Mong sao con được vuông tròn ấm êm.
Chẳng màng thân xác yếu mềm,
Tình thương mẹ mãi êm đềm trong tim.
)
Taking me through uncertainties,
Mother carries a whole sky of love.
Though years pass, upstream,
Mother does not let go, still wishing I smile.
(Đưa con qua những chênh vênh,
Mẹ mang cả một trời thương trong lòng.
Dẫu bao năm tháng ngược dòng,
Mẹ không buông bỏ, vẫn mong con cười.)
All year, working hard day and night,
Ensuring I have new clothes, fragrant rice in abundance.
Though life holds much bitterness,
A mother's love is always sweet in my heart.
(Quanh năm tần tảo sớm hôm,
Lo con áo mới gạo thơm đủ đầy.
Dẫu đời lắm nỗi đắng cay,
Tình mẹ vẫn cứ ngọt ngay trong lòng.)
