What are the required outcomes regarding the writing process in the 5th-grade Vietnamese language curriculum?

Under the General Education Program in Literature attached to Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the required outcomes regarding the writing process in the 5th-grade Vietnamese language curriculum are outlined as follows:

- Know how to write by steps: identifying the purpose and content of writing (why, about what to write); observing and finding resources for writing; formulating main ideas, outlining the essay; writing paragraphs, essays; revising (composition, word choice, sentence structure, spelling).

- Be able to write clear and coherent paragraphs and texts reflecting the subject and main information; suitable for the style and type; with a start, development, and conclusion; sentences and paragraphs connected together.

Are extra classes for 5th-grade Vietnamese language allowed?

Under Article 4 of Circular 29/2024/TT-BGDDT (effective from February 14, 2025), the cases where extra classes in Vietnam are not allowed are:

Cases where extra classes in Vietnam are not allowed

1. Extra classes for primary school students must not be organized, except in cases of training in arts, sports, and life skills.

2. Teachers currently teaching at schools are not allowed to offer external extra classes with fees to their students according to the school's educational plan.

3. Teachers from public schools are not allowed to participate in managing or operating external extra classes but may be involved in teaching extra classes.

From February 14, 2025, extra classes for primary school students are not allowed, except for cases of training in arts, sports, and life skills.

Thus, extra classes for 5th-grade Vietnamese language are not allowed.
