In 2024, what are primary education operations in Vietnam?

According to Article 19 of the Primary School Charter issued with Circular 28/2020/TT-BGDDT, primary education operations in 2024 are as follows:

- Educational operations are organized inside and outside the classroom to form traits and develop capabilities.

- Moral and lifestyle education.

- Talent nurturing.

- Granting of support for students to complete learning tasks in line with the psychological characteristics of the students' age group.

- Educational operations are flexibly organized according to the objectives and nature of the activity in which students are organized to work independently, in groups, or as a whole class with the guidance and support of teachers, ensuring each student is provided the opportunity to independently complete learning tasks and real-life experiences.

- Educational operations are organized inside and outside the classroom through various forms: theoretical lessons, exercises, practice, experiments, games, role-playing, study projects, clubs, field trips, camping, reading, collective operations, and community service operations.

What are the regulations on the assessment of training and learning results of primary school students in Vietnam?

According to Article 22 of the Primary School Charter issued with Circular 28/2020/TT-BGDDT, the assessment of training and learning results of primary school students in Vietnam is as follows:

- Primary schools organize the assessment of educational results during the learning and training process of students in accordance with the Regulations on assessment of primary school students issued by the Minister of Education and Training.

- Organize the transfer of students' educational results at the end of the school year to the teacher of the next higher class in the following year.

- Implement directives from the Head of the Department of Education and Training regarding the organization of acceptance and transfer of students' educational results from completing the primary education program to entering grade 6 under the conditions of schools and localities.

- Students completing the primary education program, meeting the conditions prescribed by the Minister of Education and Training, are certified by the primary school principal as having completed the primary education program in their academic record.

- For other educational institutions implementing the primary education program, students completing the primary education program who meet the conditions prescribed by the Minister of Education and Training, the head of the educational institution certifies the completion of the primary education program in their academic record under the regulations.

- For students in difficult circumstances who cannot attend school, studying at another institution in the area, students returning from overseas, the primary school principal organizes assessments in accordance with regulations and certifies the completion of the primary education program if the student meets the requirements.

- Apply information technology in assessing students' training and learning results in a manner suitable to the practical conditions of educational institutions.
