We must remember them, as this is a fine tradition of our nation from time immemorial: “When drinking water, remember its source,” “Birds have nests, humans have lineage.”

Understanding this, how should we act? Each year, our government always remembers and honors those who have produced the results from which we benefit, which aligns well with humanity. As for parents, there are children who wholeheartedly love and respect them because they understand that parents are the ones who have brought them into life today. The advice in the proverb is truly accurate. Each one of us should be aware of protecting and promoting this ethic. Perform well the duties of a child in the family, the duties of a student in school, and be grateful to previous generations, which are necessary reminders for us.

The proverb leaves us with a precious lesson. As students currently in school, we need to study diligently to preserve the achievements our ancestors have built and continually remind one another to live.

The Communist Party and our government need more practical policies to support Heroic Mothers and those in difficult circumstances.

But not all individuals follow this tradition, as some youths have become corrupted, forgetting what gratitude means, focused only on themselves, even mistreating their parents. Some exploit the hard work of their parents as their main income source. Others indulge in a lavish lifestyle while their families struggle to finance their education.

It can be affirmed that gratitude is a measure of a person's moral quality. Upon realizing this, we will live better, as useful citizens of society, as Uncle Ho once said, "To have talent without virtue is to be useless.” However, achieving this requires a lifelong process of cultivation and self-improvement.

What does the application for lower secondary graduation recognition for 9th-grade students in Vietnam include?

According to Article 6 of the Regulation on graduation recognition in lower secondary education issued with Circular 31/2023/TT-BGDDT, the application for lower secondary graduation recognition for 9th-grade students in Vietnam includes:

(1) In respect of students finishing ninth grade in education institutions, their application shall consist of their school reports.

(2) In respect of students who do not fall under Clause 1 of this Article, application for graduation recognition consists of:

- Written application for graduation recognition;

- Legitimate copies of birth certificate or ID Card;

- Original copies of school reports or printed copies of electronic school reports verified by education institutions where the students finish ninth grade. If a student loses original copies of his/her school report or does not possess printed copies of electronic school report, he/she must provide written verification of disciplinary and academic results of education institutions where he/she finishes ninth grade.

What are the procedures for lower secondary graduation recognition for 9th-grade students in Vietnam?

Under Article 8 of the Regulation on lower secondary graduation recognition issued with Circular 31/2023/TT-BGDDT, the  procedures for lower secondary graduation recognition for 9th-grade students in Vietnam are as follows:

1. Education institutions shall develop plans for recognizing graduation; publicly announce plans for recognizing graduation, including specific instructions regarding time, application method for students under Clause 2 Article 6 hereof at least 30 days before the date on which graduation recognition takes place; receive and process application for graduation recognition in accordance with Article 6 hereof and transfer to the Council.

2. Students under Clause 2 Article 6 hereof shall submit application under Clause 2 Article 6 hereof to education institutions recognizing graduation in accordance with instructions of the education institutions.

3. Based on application for graduation recognition, the Council shall review, record the recognition process, and produce list of students for graduation by recognition. Records requesting graduation recognition shall bear names and signatures of Council members.

4. The Council shall send request for graduation recognition to Directors of Sub-departments of Education and Training for approval. The request consists of:

- Written request for graduation recognition;

- Recognition records and list of students for graduation by recognition.

5. Directors of Sub-departments of Education and Training shall issue decision acknowledging graduation at request of education institutions.
