- Activate the students' engagement where the teacher organizes, guides, encourages, and creates a friendly learning environment for students; students actively, positively, and creatively learn, focusing on self-study capacity.

- Enhance experiential activities for students, associating geography lessons with local, national, and global realities; apply knowledge to solve environmental and socio-economic problems at the local level, thereby developing cognition, and skills, and forming specific and general competencies.

- Diversify teaching methods, flexibly combine advanced teaching methods and specific methods of the subject such as using maps, diagrams, statistical data, graphs, pictures, models, observation, fieldwork, etc.; improving and using traditional teaching methods like lectures, Q&A, etc. to enhance active learning.

- Implement different and flexible teaching organization forms, associating individual, group, and class teaching forms; classroom teaching, outdoor teaching, field trips, local tours, information collection, exhibition, introduction, learning games, etc.

- Organize, guide, and create conditions for students to explore, exploit, and acquire knowledge from geographical teaching tools such as maps, atlases, pictures, models, observational tools, surveying instruments, materials, resources, etc.

- Encourage, facilitate, and build a favorable learning environment for students to access information from the Internet for learning purposes; train students in processing and presenting geographical information using information and communication technology.
