* Duties of the Center
Based on Article 5 of the Organization and Operation Regulation of the Center for Support for Inclusive Education Development, issued with Circular 20/2022/TT-BGDDT, the duties of the Center for Support for Inclusive Education Development are as follows:
- Evaluate, determine capabilities, and classify educational needs for children with signs of disability or functional impairment, and disabled students for early educational intervention or consult on suitable educational methods for each individual.
- Support inclusive education for disabled students.
- Organize teaching and education at the preschool and general education levels for disabled students to participate in inclusive education or community integration.
- Provide training and counseling on psychology, health, education, and career guidance for disabled people and organizations, units, and individuals in need.
- Implement democratic regulations in the Center.
- Execute policies on information, reporting, and accountability to competent authorities, students, learners, and society.
- Perform other duties as prescribed by law.

Based on Article 6 of the Organization and Operation Regulation of the Center for Support for Inclusive Education Development, issued with Circular 20/2022/TT-BGDDT, the powers of the Center for Support for Inclusive Education Development are as follows:
- Exercise autonomy according to the law and the following specific regulations:
+ Decide on the goals, missions, strategies, and development plans of the Center;
+ Decide on the establishment of the organizational structure according to the approved establishment proposal of the Center from competent authorities;
+ Plan, train, and develop the management staff, teachers, and employees of the Center;
+ Manage financial receipts and expenditures, develop conditions ensuring educational quality as prescribed by law;
+ Enroll and manage students and learners; develop the Center's educational program; organize the compilation, selection of teaching materials, tools, toys, and educational resources according to legal regulations;
+ Cooperate with organizations and individuals domestically and internationally to mobilize resources in expertise or finances to support the Center's mission according to legal regulations.
- Utilize and manage the management staff, teachers, employees; organize knowledge updates for teachers to enhance professional capacity.
- Benefit from policies as prescribed by law to encourage private investment in supporting disabled people in the field of education.
- Exercise other rights prescribed by law.
What are regulations on teaching and educational activities conducted at the Center for Support for Inclusive Education Development in Vietnam?
Based on Article 15 of the Organization and Operation Regulation of the Center for Support for Inclusive Education Development, issued with Circular 20/2022/TT-BGDDT, teaching and educational activities at the Center for Support for Inclusive Education Development are as follows:
- Students are organized into classes. Each class has no more than 12 students. The class arrangement for students is based on assessing the capabilities, needs, and educational results of the previous school year (if any).
- The Center organizes teaching and education according to its educational plan:
+ The Center's educational plan is the plan to organize teaching and education for disabled students through special educational methods.
+ The Center's educational plan is built based on the implementation of the preschool and general education programs issued by the Minister of Education and Training and specific skills education content suitable for the abilities and needs of disabled students; the plan is approved by the Center's director, reported to the Department of Education and Training, and other specialized management agencies as prescribed for implementation.
- Specific skills education content is organized for at least 5 lessons (activities)/week, suitable to the needs and abilities of individual students. Based on the students' educational needs, the Center may arrange additional support/individual intervention hours.
- Students studying at the Center have teachers cooperate with their parents/guardians to create an individual education plan for the academic year. Based on the individual education plan, teachers design and execute lesson plans, assess students according to current regulations of the respective educational levels.
