How to integrate teaching to ensure the safety of children in preschool in Vietnam?

According to Article 7 of Circular 45/2021/TT-BGDDT, ensuring the safety of children in preschool will be carried out as follows:

- Integrate teaching to educate children with knowledge, skills to protect themselves, and avoid abuse in nurturing, caring, and educating activities at preschool.

- Enhance children's education on knowledge and skills to ensure safety through experiential, practical activities to handle safeguarding situations appropriate to the child's needs and age.

- Equip toys, materials, and educational tools about ensuring safety suitable for children’s age and local culture.

6 communication activities to ensure children's safety in preschool for the new school year in Vietnam

According to Article 5 of Circular 45/2021/TT-BGDDT, the communication activities in educating knowledge and skills to ensure children's safety in preschool for the new school year include:

Activity 1. Utilize information technology platforms connected to the internet to communicate and raise awareness among management staff, teachers, employees in preschools, families, and communities about building a safe educational environment; implement solutions to control and eliminate inappropriate propaganda contents.

Activity 2. Propagate and disseminate information about risks, measures, and skills for preventing accidents and injuries to children; children's rights and related legal issues in case of child abuse or harm.

Activity 3. Propagate responsibility for detecting, notifying, and denouncing abusive behaviors, child harm in preschool, at home, and in the community; disseminate the phone number 111 of the national child protection hotline.

Activity 4. Establish information channels such as suggestion boxes, hotline numbers, and other appropriate forms; facilitate the reception of information on school safety or the denouncement of child abuse or harm.

Activity 5. Develop a system for recording, monitoring, supervising, and reporting on building a safe school environment, preventing accidents and injuries; promptly prevent and intervene with abusive or harmful behaviors against children.

Activity 6. Implement diverse forms of information exchange with parents, caregivers about the results of nurturing, caring, and educating children, and promptly inform about the children's progress or difficulties at preschool.
