- It instills in learners a consciousness to preserve and promote the beautiful values left by humans in the past.

According to the Education Program for the Subject of History and Geography issued with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the minimum teaching equipment for History and Geography includes the following types:

- Wall maps (of the world, regions, Vietnam) suitable for the content of each topic for each grade level and appropriate to the cognition levels of students;

- Sets of general physical geography atlases, continental geography atlases, and Vietnam geography atlases, historical map sets;

- Models, historical relics, pictures, photos, audio recordings of historical figures, etc.;

- Natural specimens;

- Images (printed on paper, digital static and dynamic images), diagrams, maps, video clips edited for educational purposes, suitable to the content of each topic;

- Learning sheets containing source materials; Exercise sheets (maps, charts, diagrams);

- Common tools and equipment for observing nature (compasses, thermometers, hygrometers, barometers);

- Some tools for practical work, fieldwork;

- Digital libraries containing history and geography teaching materials;

- Teaching software.

In localities with conditions, specialized classrooms should be organized.

The primary purpose of using teaching equipment is to create the physical and technical conditions to organize learning activities, encouraging students to actively and creatively explore historical and geographical knowledge.
