Full text of the handbook on moral and lifestyle education for students in Vietnam
According to Decision 4736/QD-BGDDT in 2022, the Minister of Education and Training approved the Handbook on Moral and Lifestyle Education Activities for Students. To be specific:
On November 11, 2021, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam issued the Program "Enhancing Revolutionary Ideals, Ethics, Lifestyle Education, and Inspiring Aspiration to Dedicate among Youth, Teenagers, and Children from 2021-2030".
The program identifies the main tasks and solutions as "diversifying the content, methods, and forms of revolutionary ideals, ethics, lifestyle education, and inspiring the aspiration to dedicate among youth, teenagers, and children" and "enhancing the capacity of staff, teachers, lecturers, and collaborators responsible for youth, teenagers, and children education in educational institutions".
The Handbook on Moral and Lifestyle Education for Students is compiled based on updating current regulations and successful practical activities to train and enhance the capacity of administrators, teachers, staff, and collaborators responsible for Youth Union, Team work, and moral and lifestyle education for students in schools.
The document structure includes 03 parts:
Part 1. Some general issues on moral and lifestyle education for students.
Part 2. Managing moral and lifestyle education activities for students in schools.
Part 3. Illustration of some moral and lifestyle education activities for students.

What contents are included in the regular training on coordination between school, family, and society for moral and lifestyle education for students in Vietnam?
According to Section 3 of the Regular Training Program for General Education Teachers issued with Circular 17/2019/TT-BGDDT, the regular training program for teachers on coordination between school, family, and society to implement moral and lifestyle education for students in general education institutions includes the following contents:
- The necessity of coordination between the school, family, and society in implementing moral and lifestyle education for students in general education institutions.
- School discipline, cultural behavior rules; regulations on information reception from related parties about the morality and lifestyle of students in general education institutions.
- Some skills to enhance the effectiveness of coordination between school, family, and society in educational activities for students in general education institutions.
Additionally, the module's duration is 20 hours (8 theory hours, 12 practice hours).
Is the regular training on coordination between school, family, and society for moral and lifestyle education for students a mandatory module in Vietnam?
According to Section 2 of the Regular Training Program for General Education Teachers issued with Circular 17/2019/TT-BGDDT:
Training Subjects
The regular training program for general education teachers applies to teachers currently teaching at primary schools, lower secondary schools, upper secondary schools, comprehensive schools, specialized schools, boarding ethnic schools, and semi-boarding ethnic schools (collectively referred to as general education institutions).

Therefore, teachers at general education institutions can select training modules to develop professional qualities and competence to meet job position requirements, so the module on coordination between school, family, and society to implement moral and lifestyle education for students in general education institutions (GVPT 13) is not a mandatory module.
