Formulas for passive voice in English according to general education program in Vietnam
Based on the General Education Program for the English subject issued with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, passive sentences are one of the grammar topics that 10th-grade students need to study.
The English passive voice formula is as follows:
*General formula for passive sentences: S + be + V-ed/p.p + by O
To convert a passive sentence into a question, apply the following structure:
Active sentence

How many English periods are there in the 10th grade program in Vietnam?
Based on Section 7 of the General Education Program for the English subject issued with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, it is stipulated as follows:

- Allocation of teaching time
The General Education Program for the English subject is taught from grade 3 to grade 12 and adheres to the regulations in the comprehensive General Education Program of the Ministry of Education and Training regarding the teaching time for subjects. To be specific:

To effectively implement the General Education Program for the English subject, the following basic conditions must be ensured:
2.1. Teachers
- Ensure a sufficient number of teachers to complete the teaching periods according to the school’s teaching plan. Teachers must meet the English proficiency and pedagogical skills standards appropriate to their level as stipulated by the Ministry of Education and Training.
- Teachers must be properly trained to implement this program. For teachers who have achieved professional standards, continuous professional development should be organized to meet the program’s objectives, content, and teaching methods. Teachers should also receive training in evaluation and assessment of students' learning outcomes and the use of modern equipment in teaching.

Thus, the 10th-grade English subject must comply with the regulations in the comprehensive General Education Program of the Ministry of Education and Training. Specifically, students must study 105 periods of English in the 10th grade.
