Graduation gowns includes: robe, cap, and school emblem (logo) if available.
Additionally, Article 5 of Circular 26/2009/TT-BGDDT, the standards for graduation gowns are as follows:
Graduation gowns Standards
1. Robe: a lightweight, loose-fitting, knee-length robe, made of breathable and comfortable fabric, decorated appropriately for use in both summer and winter, showcasing modernity and traditional cultural beauty of the Vietnamese people.
2. Cap: the color of the cap should match the color of the robe, ensuring aesthetic appeal and solemnity.
3. School emblem (logo) attached to the left chest of the robe.
4. When a school has not yet established its own graduation gowns, the following may be used: a dark-colored suit, shirt, and tie for males; a suit or traditional long dress (ao dai) for females.
Graduation gowns is used for students of a school (or a department) during the graduation ceremony of higher education institutions, vocational schools.
Therefore, lower lower secondary school students are not required to wear graduation gowns. However, it depends on the regulations of each school to decide whether lower lower secondary school students will wear graduation gowns or not.

- Ensure the distinction of graduates across different educational levels: vocational, university.
- Ensure scientific principles and reflect the traditional cultural beauty of the Vietnamese people.
* In cases where costs are sponsored by organizations or individuals domestically or internationally, the uniforms and graduation gowns must conform to this regulation, without exploiting sponsorship for advertising purposes.
* Encourage ethnic minority students to wear their traditional attire during festivals, holidays, and on days when the school does not prescribe uniforms.
Thus, lower lower secondary school students wearing graduation gowns must adhere to the above principles.
