The application for advanced professional training is one of the necessary documents in the dossier for advanced training of teachers' professional qualifications.
Currently, there is no regulation on the application form for advanced professional training for teachers. However, teachers can refer to the following application form:

What are purposes of advanced professional training for teachers in Vietnam?
According to the provisions of Article 3 of the Regular Training Regulation for teachers, managers of preschools, primary schools, and teachers of continuous education centers (the Regulation) issued with Circular 19/2019/TT-BGDDT (amended by Clause 2, Article 1 Circular 17/2022/TT-BGDDT), teachers need to receive advanced professional training for the following purposes:
- To equip knowledge and skills required for the job positions of teachers and managers;
- To serve as a basis for managing, directing, organizing training, and self-training to enhance the professional qualifications and expertise of teachers and managers;
- To improve the responsiveness of teachers and managers based on job position requirements;
- To meet the development needs of preschool education, general education, continuous education, and professional standards;
- To develop self-study abilities, self-training, and self-evaluation of regular training for teachers and managers; the ability to organize and manage regular training activities for teachers and managers of preschools, primary schools, continuous education centers, educational departments, and educational services.
Which institutions in Vietnam are authorized to conduct regular advanced professional training for teachers?
Article 10 of the Regulation issued with Circular 17/2022/TT-BGDDT stipulates:
Educational institutions conducting regular training tasks
- Educational institutions authorized to conduct regular training tasks include:
a) Educational institutions providing teacher training: Teacher training colleges, educational institutions with faculties of education, educational institutions authorized to train and provide teacher training;
b) Educational institutions providing manager training: Teacher training colleges, universities with faculties of educational management, educational institutions authorized to train and provide educational manager training.
- Educational institutions authorized to conduct regular training tasks must meet the following requirements:
a) Be an educational institution as stipulated in Clause 1 of this Article;
b) Ensure competence in creating training materials as stipulated in Article 7 of this Regulation;
c) Ensure that the team of presenters meets the standards according to Article 9 of this Regulation;
d) Have the necessary physical facilities, technical equipment, and practical facilities to meet the training tasks, including an integrated information system to periodically collect and process data about presenters, teachers, and managers; have a feedback recording and processing system from stakeholders about advancements in training to improve the quality of teacher and manager training; maintain hardware and software technology systems regularly and ensure they are always ready for effective use by presenters, teachers, and managers.
- Educational institutions conducting regular training tasks either by assignment or contract.
Thus, the institutions for advanced professional teacher training include:
- Educational institutions with faculties of education;
- Educational institutions authorized to train and provide teacher training;
Additionally, the institutions for advanced professional teacher training must meet the following conditions:
- Ensure competence in creating training materials as stipulated;
- Ensure the team of presenters meets the prescribed standards;
- Have physical facilities, technical equipment, and practical facilities to meet the training needs, including an integrated information system to periodically collect and process data about presenters, teachers, and managers;
- Have a feedback recording and processing system from stakeholders about advancements in training to improve the quality of teacher and manager training;
- Maintain hardware and software technology systems regularly and ensure they are always ready for effective use by presenters, teachers, and managers.
