On September 9, 2024, Duy Tan University issued Announcement 1205/TB-DHDT 2024 download regarding enrollment for master's programs for December 2024. Specifically, the conditions for undergoing Master's programs at Duy Tan University in December 2024 are as follows:

- Qualifications

+ Have graduated or eligible for recognition of higher education graduation (or equivalent or higher level) in a relevant field; for research-oriented programs, a graduation grade of fairly good or higher is required, or relevant scientific publications in the field of study and research.

+ Applicants with a bachelor's degree in a closely related field or a different field must undertake supplementary courses before enrollment consideration.

+ bachelor's degrees conferred by foreign educational institutions must be recognized under current regulations.

- Language Proficiency

+ Vietnamese applicants must possess a foreign language proficiency of Level 3 or higher according to the 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework used in Vietnam if they hold one of the following degrees or certificates:

++ bachelor's degree or higher in a foreign language major; or a bachelor's degree or higher where the program is mainly delivered in a foreign language.

++ A bachelor's degree or higher awarded by Duy Tan University within no more than 2 years, where the program's graduation requirement has met the Level 3 language proficiency or higher according to the 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework used in Vietnam.

++ Any foreign language degree or certificate equivalent to Level 3 or higher according to the 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework used in Vietnam as stipulated in the Appendix of Circular 23/2021/TT-BGDDT or other equivalent certificates announced by the Ministry of Education and Training, within 2 years (24 months) up to the date of application (Appendix 1).

Note: The entry and exit language requirements for each learner must be in the same language: In cases where the entry language waiver certificate is submitted, the exit language certificate (or proof satisfying the exit language requirement) must be in the same language initially submitted.

Example: If an entry language certificate in Chinese is submitted as HSK Level 3, the exit language must mandatorily submit a Chinese language certificate at least from HSK Level 4 onwards (or proof of satisfying the exit language requirement must be in Chinese).

+ In cases where the applicant does not meet the entry language requirements as prescribed at point (a), they shall participate in the English entry exam equivalent to the B1 – European Framework level at Duy Tan University.

+ Foreign applicants wishing to enroll in master's programs taught in Vietnamese must meet a Vietnamese proficiency of Level 4 or higher according to the Vietnamese Language Proficiency Framework for foreigners, or have graduated from a university (or equivalent or higher level) with programs taught in Vietnamese; and meet the second foreign language requirement as prescribed by Duy Tan University.

- Work Experience and Scientific Research Competency

+ Applicants holding a bachelor's degree relevant to the intended master's specialization may apply immediately upon graduation. For the management and administrative disciplines, application-oriented master's programs require a relevant undergraduate degree in fields directly related to management and administration professions.

+ Publication of scientific papers in journals with an ISSN index, or international journals ISI, SCOPUS, or papers published in national or international conferences, or scientific research topics during undergraduate, and graduate studies or in employment (if any).

What are the regulations on the forms of master's training in Vietnam?

According to Clause 1, Article 3 of the Regulations on enrolment and training for master’s degree issued together with Circular 23/2021/TT-BGDDT, there are two forms of master's training in Vietnam, including:

- Formal training format shall apply to research orientation program and application orientation program.  

- Part-time degree training format applies to application orientation program. Teaching time for each training format shall conform to Regulations on higher education training of the Ministry of Education and Training.

What is the duration of master's training in Vietnam?

According to Clause 2, Article 3 of the Regulations on enrolment and training for master’s degree issued together with Circular 23/2021/TT-BGDDT, for each training method, education institutions must provide standard learning plan for the entire course for each training program for learners. Training duration is regulated as follows:

- Duration based on standard learning plan for the entire course must suit duration under National education system framework while guaranteeing that the majority of learners finish the training program;

- Duration based on standard learning plan for the entire course for part-time degree must be at least 20% longer than formal training format of the same program;

- Maximum duration for learners to complete a course shall be prescribed under regulations of education institutions without exceeding twice the duration based on standard learning plan for the entire course for each training format.
