Additional Admissions of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) in 2024 in Vietnam

According to the announcement University Admission for the additional round of 2024, the Admission Council of Ton Duc Thang University announces the additional university admission (expected) for 2024 as follows:

* Admission subjects: Candidates who have graduated from high school or equivalent

* Admission methods:

Candidates can choose one of the 3 admission methods:

- Method 1:

+ Subject 1: Candidates from high schools that have signed a cooperation agreement with TDTU and graduated from high school in 2024. (The international education cooperation program recruits candidates who graduated from high school from 2020 to 2024, except for fields linked with universities in the Czech Republic, which only accept candidates graduating high school in 2024) are admitted based on their high school academic scores over 5 semesters (excluding the second semester of the 12th grade).

+ Subject 2: Candidates from high schools that have not signed a cooperation agreement with TDTU and graduated from high school in 2024. (The international education cooperation program recruits candidates who graduated from high school from 2020 to 2024, except for fields linked with universities in the Czech Republic, which only accept candidates graduating high school in 2024) are admitted based on their high school academic scores over 6 semesters.

- Method 2: Admission based on the high school graduation exam results of 2024.

- Method 4: Admission based on the 2024 competency assessment test results of the Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.

* Admission principles

- Candidates can only register for one single admission option.

- Based on the admission quota, the admission score will be taken from highest to lowest until the quota is filled.

* Application submission deadline: Before 5:00 PM on September 5, 2024.

* Admission result announcement date, enrollment date:

- Confirmation and enrollment procedures deadline: expected before 5:00 PM on September 13, 2024.

If a student in Vietnam has already confirm the admission, will he/she be eligible for additional admission? 

Based on clause 4, Article 21 of the Regulation on university admission and pre-school pedagogy college admission issued together with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT

Admission result announcement and enrollment confirmation

1. The training institution sends the admission notice to successful candidates, clearly stating the necessary procedures for candidates when enrolling and the enrollment method.

2. Candidates confirm enrollment online on the system before enrolling at the training institution.

3. For candidates who do not confirm enrollment within the prescribed time:

a) If there is no legitimate reason, it is considered that the candidate declines admission and the training institution has the right not to accept;

b) If due to sickness, accident, with certification from the district hospital or higher, or natural disaster with certification from the district People's Committee or higher, the training institution considers admitting the candidate or preserving the admission result for the candidate to enroll later;

c) If due to mistakes or confusion caused by the admission staff or the candidate themselves, the training institution proactively cooperates with relevant individuals and organizations to consider the evidence and decide whether to accept the candidate or preserve the admission result for the candidate to enroll later.

4. Candidates who have confirmed admission at one training institution are not allowed to participate in admission elsewhere or in additional admission, unless permitted by the training institution.

According to the regulations, candidates who have confirmed admission at one training institution are not allowed to participate in additional admissions, unless permitted by the training institution.

Thus, once a candidate has confirmed admission, they will not be considered for additional admission, unless permitted by the educational institution.

What are the responsibilities of candidates in Vietnam regarding the university admission process?

Based on clause 1, Article 23 of the Regulation on university admission and pre-school pedagogy college admission issued together with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT, the responsibilities of candidates regarding the university admission process are as follows:

- Thoroughly understand the admission information of training institutions, not registering for programs or admission methods for which they do not meet the conditions;

- Provide full and accurate information in the application form, including personal details, region-specific information and prioritized subjects (if any), registration optiones; ensure the authenticity of the documents provided;

- Agree for the training institution being applied to use necessary information and data for admission purposes;

- Complete the payment of admission fees before finishing the application process.
