Alarm Clock:
On my study desk, there is a very special alarm clock. The clock is rectangular, with a brown wooden outer cover. The numbers and date displayed on the rectangular face of the clock are in a very prominent LED format, visible even in the dark. Behind the light are three buttons to adjust the time display. One button adjusts the hour, another the minute, and the last one is for setting the alarm. All three buttons are round, large, like peppermint candies. Thanks to the alarm clock, I can check the time and be woken up on time, so I really like it. I will keep it well-maintained and clean, so it always looks new. |
Bicycle:
Last year, my mother bought me a bicycle. The bike is dressed in a very beautiful light pink color. The seat is soft and very comfortable. The bike's frame is very sturdy, with a pink bell on the left handlebar. The bell is very sensitive. Whenever I go to crowded places, I often ring the bell with a "ding-dong" sound. At the front is a basket for me to store things. My bike has two seats, one in front for the rider and another for a companion. I cherish this bike as it is the most memorable gift from my mother and because of its usefulness. I will care for the bike diligently, just as I cherish my mother's affection for me. |
School Bag:
At the start of the year, my mother bought me a school bag. The bag is rectangular and made of leather. The front of the bag has a print of a very cute pink pig. There are two straps on the back for carrying. Inside the bag, there are two large compartments and one small compartment. The bag helps me carry my books and study supplies. I regard the bag as a friend. I will keep it well-maintained and cherish it carefully. |
Study Desk:
My study desk is a gift from my parents for my recent birthday. The desk is rectangular, made of hard plastic, and printed with Disney princesses that I really like. On the right side of the desk, there are two drawers for storing books and study supplies neatly. Thanks to the beautiful desk, every time I sit down to study, I feel more inspired and diligent. The desk is like a dear friend to me. |
Hat:
My grandfather gifted me a hat. The brim is wide like a lotus leaf. It is made of fabric, yellow in color, and printed with floral patterns. Beneath the hat is an adjustable strap. It helps me shield from rain and sun every time I go to school. I love this gift very much! |

What types of paragraphs will 3rd-grade students in Vietnam learn to write?
Under Section 5 of the general education program in the Literature issued together with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, 3rd-grade students in Vietnam will learn to write the following types of paragraphs:
- Write a paragraph recounting an event they witnessed or participated in.
- Write a short descriptive paragraph about an object.
- Write a short paragraph expressing feelings and emotions about people or nature based on suggestions.
- Write a short paragraph stating why they like or don't like a character in a story they have read or heard.
- Write a short paragraph introducing themselves, mentioning important information such as name, date of birth, place of birth, hobbies, and personal dreams.
- Write a brief announcement or news report; fill in the information on some pre-printed forms; write letters to family or friends (handwritten or email).
How many periodic assessment levels for 3rd-grade students in Vietnam are there?
Under point a, clause 1 of Article 7 of the regulations on primary school student assessment issued together with Circular 27/2020/TT-BGDDT, periodic assessments are regulated as follows:
Periodic assessment
1. Periodic assessment for academic contents of subjects and academic activities.
a) In the middle of the first semester, at the end of the first semester, in the middle of the second semester and at the end of a school year, subject specialist teachers rely on regular assessment, requirements to be achieved, specific display of capacities of each subject and academic activities to assess students in each subject and academic activity as follows:
- Good completion: excellently achieve academic requirements and regularly display specific capacities of subjects or academic activities;
- Completion: achieve academic requirements and display specific capacities of subjects or academic activities;
- Incompletion: fail to achieve any academic requirement or fail to display specific capacities of subjects or academic activities;

Thus, 3rd-grade students will be periodically assessed according to the following 3 levels:
- Good completion.
