Sample 1 This coming weekend is my mom's birthday. I am determined to give her many perfect-ten flowers because I know she is always happy to see me study diligently. Every night I study till late, and in class, I concentrate on listening to the lessons and actively participate. I hope that on my mom's birthday, my gift will make her very happy. |
Sample 2 On my mom's desk, there is a small card placed in the most beautiful spot. It was my mom's birthday gift from last year, given by me. At that time, just to write a simple line, I had to practice many times. I even asked my teacher to write a sample so I could practice copying it beautifully. Although simple, my mom really liked that small card and kept it carefully. That made me very happy and proud. |
Sample 3 This coming weekend is my dad's birthday. I have prepared a gift nearly a month ahead. It's a small cactus pot that I personally took care of. I used my savings to buy a small pot and asked for a sprouted seedling from Uncle Nam to plant in it. After more than a month of diligent care, the seedling has grown as big as a small fist. On the round cactus top, there's a small, pretty bud. By the weekend, the flower will surely bloom in time to celebrate my dad's birthday. I hope he will love this gift. |
Sample 4 Yesterday was the twentieth wedding anniversary of my parents. I made a congratulatory card to give to them. The card was made of white hardboard. On the outside, I attached flowers in a heart shape. Inside, I wrote a message: "Happy twentieth wedding anniversary to mom and dad. I hope you will always live happily together!" When they received the card, they were very surprised and happy. I felt extremely delighted. |
Sample 5 Last week was my mom's birthday. I saved up my pocket money to buy her a really beautiful birthday cake. Since my mom loves flowers, I asked the baker to make me a round cake with a lot of flowers on top. Although the gift was only about the size of two palms, the colors and details cooperated very prettily. My mom was very surprised to receive the gift. She hugged me and said, "Thank you, my son." Then, my whole family together cut the cake. The cake had a blueberry flavor and was very delicious. This was the first gift I gave my mom. I was very pleased with this cake. |
