According to the draft guidelines for admission to People's Police academies in 2024, the admission process will continue to follow the leadership and guidance of the Ministry of Public Security, encompassing all aspects related to admission in the People's Police, in compliance with the current regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs regarding admissions.

In essence, the admission guidelines for People's Police academies in 2024 will remain stable, similar to 2023. There will be three methods of selection for new regular university admissions.

Method 1: Direct admission based on the current admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the regulations of the Ministry of Public Security.

Method 2: Direct admission combined with an international language certificate and high school academic results.

Method 3: Combination of high school graduation exam results in 2024 and the assessment exam results conducted by the Ministry of Public Security.

Pursuant to Article 4 of Circular 62/2023/TT-BCA, the latest health conditions for new admissions to People's Police academies must meet the following two criteria:

General criteria:

Citizens participating in new admissions to People's Police academies, as well as conscripted non-commissioned officers who have completed their military service in the People's Police, will be considered eligible for the professional service regime if they meet the following standards:

(1) Have health status of Type 1 or Type 2;

(2) For males, height ranges from 1.64m to 1.95m, and for females, height ranges from 1.58m to 1.80m, except for specific cases with reduced height standards as specified in Clause 2 and Clause 3 of this Article;

(3) Visual acuity without glasses is 09-10/10 for each eye, and the total visual acuity for both eyes is 18/10 or higher. If there is a refractive error in the eyes, such as myopia or hyperopia, it should not exceed 03 (three) diopters for each eye; if there is astigmatism, it should be physiological astigmatism or less than 01 (one) diopter for each eye. The minimum visual acuity through glasses for one eye should be 09/10, and the total visual acuity through glasses for both eyes should be 19/10 or higher (applicants who are selected as new admissions or selected as citizens for the People's Police and transition to the professional service regime in the People's Police must commit to meeting the visual acuity standards as prescribed, except for cases specified in point b, Clause 3 of Article 4 of Circular 62/2023/TT-BCA);

(4) Meet the following specific criteria:

- Not addicted to drugs or precursor substances specified in Decree 57/2022/ND-CP;

- Normal hair color and style (according to the regulations of the People's Police);

- No pigmentation disorders of the skin, except for darkening of the cheek area;

- No piercings on the nose or any other positions on the body for wearing jewelry. For males, there should be no piercings on the ears or if there are piercings, they should have healed and become scars. For females, there should be no more than 02 piercings on one ear or only one piercing on the ear, and any other piercings on the ear should have healed and become scars;

- No raised scars in the head, face, neck, wrists, palms, or soles of the feet;

- No tattoos or permanent markings on the skin, including cosmetic tattoos, except for eyebrow or lip tattoos for aesthetic purposes in females

Specific health criteria for new admissions to the People's Police

Citizens participating in new admissions to the People's Police must meet the following specific health criteria:

(1) Citizens applying to the People's Police academies as conscripted non-commissioned officers serving in the People's Police: The height requirement is based on the height at the time of enrollment for military service in the People's Police;

(2) Citizens applying to the People's Police academies as ethnic minorities: For males, the height ranges from 1.62m to 1.95m, and for females, the height ranges from 1.56m to 1.80m. Citizens belonging to the priority policy group 01 UT1 in Appendix II of Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT dated June 6, 2022, issued by the Minister of Education and Training, which regulates the enrollment regulations for university and college education, have a height requirement of 1.60m to 1.95m for males and 1.55m to 1.80m for females;

- Citizens applying to the People's Police academies from secondary education institutions as direct recruitment candidates or candidates for consideration: The height requirement is 1.55m or taller for males and 1.50m or taller for females;

- Citizens who are eligible for multiple priority categories can only receive the highest priority benefit.
