Do members of Communist Party of Vietnam on probation have to pay membership fees?
According to Article 5 of the Statute of the Communist Party of Vietnam 2011, the regulation is as follows:
1. A person admitted to the Communist Party must undergo a probationary period of twelve months, starting from the day the Party cell organizes the induction ceremony. During the probationary period, the Party cell continues to educate, train and assigns a full Party member to assist the member in making progress.
- At the end of the probationary period, the Party cell considers recognizing each official member and votes as when admitting; if the member is not qualified, it recommends the competent authority to delete the name from the list of probationary members.
- The Party cell's resolution regarding the recommendation to recognize official members must be decided by the competent authority.
- A Party member that has been officially recognized will have their Party age calculated from the date noted in the induction decision."
