Vietnam: What does the initial taxpayer registration include?
According to Article 31 of the Law on Tax Administration 2019, the initial taxpayer registration file includes:
- Taxpayers registering along with enterprise registration, cooperative registration, business registration shall include the taxpayer registration file with the enterprise, cooperative, or business registration file as per legal regulations.
- Taxpayers who are organizations registering directly with the tax authority shall include:
+ Taxpayer registration declaration form;
+ A copy of the establishment and operation license, decision on establishment, investment registration certificate, or other equivalent documents issued by a competent authority still in effect;
+ Other relevant documents.
- Taxpayers who are households, business households, individuals registering directly with the tax authority shall include:
+ Taxpayer registration declaration or tax declaration form;
+ A copy of the identity card, a copy of the citizen identification card, or a copy of the passport;
+ Other relevant documents.
- The information connection between state management agencies and tax authorities to receive taxpayer registration files and issue tax codes through a one-stop interconnected electronic portal shall be implemented as per relevant legal regulations.
