According to Notification No. 6150/TB-BLDTBXH of 2024 regarding the Lunar New Year 2025 holiday schedule for officials and public employees, and workers, as follows:

Pursuant to the direction of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in Official Dispatch No. 8726/VPCP-KGVX dated November 26, 2024, by the Government Office of Vietnam regarding the Lunar New Year holiday and several public holidays in 2025, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs announces that administrative, non-business agencies, political organizations, political-social organizations, enterprises, and other employers shall implement the Lunar New Year holiday timetable, National Day holiday, Victory Day holiday on April 30 and Labor Day on May 1, 2025, as follows:

1. Officials and public employees, and workers from administrative, non-business agencies, political organizations, political-social organizations (hereinafter referred to as officials and public employees) are entitled to the Lunar New Year 2025 holiday from Saturday, January 25, 2025, in the Gregorian calendar (equivalent to 26th day of the 12th lunar month in the year of Giap Thin) until the end of Sunday, February 2, 2025, in the Gregorian calendar (equivalent to the fifth day of January in the year of At Ty). This includes 5 days of Lunar New Year holidays and 4 regular weekly days off.

  1. Agencies and units that do not observe fixed weekly days off on Saturdays and Sundays will arrange holiday schedules per the unit's specific program and plan, according to the law.
  1. For workers not covered by Clause 1 of this Notification, employers shall decide the Lunar New Year, National Day, Victory Day on April 30, and Labor Day on May 1, 2025, holiday arrangements as follows:

- For the Lunar New Year holiday: select 1 last day of the year of Giap Thin and 4 first days of the year of At Ty, or 2 last days of the year of Giap Thin and 3 first days of the year of At Ty, or 3 last days of the year of Giap Thin and 2 first days of the year of At Ty.

- For the National Day holiday: Tuesday, September 2, 2025, in the Gregorian calendar and select one of these two days: Monday, September 1, 2025, or Wednesday, September 3, 2025, in the Gregorian calendar.

- Notify workers of the Lunar New Year and National Day holiday arrangements in 2025 at least 30 days in advance.

- If the weekly day off coincides with a public and New Year holiday as stipulated in Clause 1, Article 112 of the Labor Code, workers are entitled to a compensatory day off as per Clause 3, Article 111 of the Labor Code.

- Encourage employers to adopt the Lunar New Year, National Day, Victory Day on April 30, and Labor Day on May 1, 2025, holiday schedules similar to those for officials and public employees.

Thus, tax officials are entitled to the Lunar New Year 2025 holiday from 26th day of the 12th lunar month (January 25, 2025, in the Gregorian calendar) until the end of the fifth day of the New Year (February 2, 2025, in the Gregorian calendar), totaling 9 days.

According to Clause 1, Article 9 of Circular No. 29/2022/TT-BTC, the senior tax inspector is an official with the highest professional expertise in the field of taxation, assigned to leadership positions such as Directorate, Department, and equivalent leaders, Provincial and City Tax Department leaders, responsible for advising the state tax management at the General Department of Taxation and Provincial and City Tax Departments and performing highly complex taxation business tasks at the provincial, multiple provincial or national levels.

(2) Principal Tax Inspector:

According to Clause 1, Article 10 of Circular No. 29/2022/TT-BTC, the principal tax inspector is an official with a high level of professional expertise in the tax sector, assisting leadership in organizing and implementing tax management or directly performing tax operations according to assigned functions within the tax industry units.

(3) Tax Inspector

According to Clause 1, Article 11 of Circular No. 29/2022/TT-BTC, the tax inspector is an official with basic professional expertise in the tax sector; directly executing tax management business tasks.

(4) Intermediate Tax Inspector

According to Clause 1, Article 12 of Circular No. 29/2022/TT-BTC, the intermediate tax inspector is an official who performs professional tasks in the tax sector; directly conducting several business assignments in tax management at the unit.

(5) Tax Staff

According to Clause 1, Article 13 of Circular No. 29/2022/TT-BTC, the tax staff is an official who executes simple professional tasks in the tax sector; directly performing parts of the tax management business assigned by the unit.
