What is the official Tet 2025 holiday schedule of Vietnamese tax officials?

The Government Office of Vietnam has issued Official Dispatch 8726/VPCP-KGVX Year 2024 conveying the Prime Minister of Vietnam's directive on the Lunar New Year holiday and several holiday occasions for 2025.

The Prime Minister has agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs regarding the Tet 2025 holiday for officials, cadres, and public employees as follows:

- For the Lunar New Year 2025, officials and public employees will have 9 consecutive days off, including 5 Tet holiday days and 4 regular weekly days off.

- To be specific, officials and public employees, and workers will have 5 Tet holiday days off from Monday, January 27, 2025, to Friday, January 31, 2025 (from the 28th of the twelfth lunar month of the Year of the Dragon to the 3rd of the first lunar month of the Year of the Snake).

- However, since in 2025, all 5 Tet holiday days fall on weekdays, workers will have an additional 2 weekend days off before and 2 days off after Tet.

Agencies and units should arrange and organize staff on duty as per regulations to ensure continuous work, adequately serving organizations and the people, ensuring officials are deployed to handle sudden and unforeseen tasks during Tet and holiday times according to the regulations.
