What are the duties of members of Communist Party of Vietnam?
Based on Article 2 of the Charter of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the duties of a Communist Party of Vietnam member are prescribed as follows:
- Absolutely loyal to the revolutionary ideals of the Communist Communist Party of Vietnam, strictly adhere to the political platform, Communist Party of Vietnam Charter, resolutions, directives of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and laws of the State; complete assigned tasks well; absolute obedience to the assignment and mobilization of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
- Continuously study, train, enhance knowledge, work capacity, political ideals, revolutionary ethics, maintain a healthy lifestyle; fight against individualism, opportunism, parochialism, bureaucracy, corruption, waste, and other negative phenomena.
Comply with the Central Committee's regulations on what Communist Party of Vietnam members must not do.
- Maintain close ties with the people, respect and promote the people's mastery; care for the material and spiritual life and protect the legitimate rights of the people; actively participate in public affairs and social work at work and residence;
Propagate and mobilize family and people to follow the Communist Party of Vietnam's guidelines, policies, and State laws.
- Participate in building and protecting the Communist Party of Vietnam's guidelines, policies, and organization; obey discipline, maintain unity within the Communist Party of Vietnam; regularly self-criticize and criticize, be truthful to the Communist Party of Vietnam; engage in developing new members; attend Communist Party of Vietnam meetings and pay Communist Party of Vietnam dues appropriately.

According to Section 1, Part B of the Regulations on Communist Party of Vietnam fee policies issued with Decision 342/QD-TW in 2010, the regulations on subjects and rates of monthly Communist Party of Vietnam fees are specified as follows:
The monthly income of Communist Party of Vietnam members for fee calculation includes: salary, certain allowances; wages; living allowances; other income. Communist Party of Vietnam members with ascertainable regular income pay dues based on a percentage (%) of their monthly income (before personal income tax); members with unascertainable income have a specific monthly fee established for each subject.
