Official Circular 02/2024/TT-TANDTC: What is the organizational structure for affiliated units of the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam?
On December 31, 2024, the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam issued Circular 02/2024/TT-TANDTC stipulating the organizational structure, functions, tasks, and powers of affiliated units of the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam.
Article 2 of Circular 02/2024/TT-TANDTC specifies the affiliated units of the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam as follows:
- Office;
- Department of Planning and Finance;
- Department of Information Technology;
- Directorate of Criminal Justice Supervision and Inspection (Directorate I);
- Directorate of Civil Justice Supervision and Inspection (Directorate II);
- Directorate of Commercial, Bankruptcy, Labor, Family, and Juvenile Supervision and Inspection (Directorate III);
- Directorate of Administrative Justice Supervision and Inspection (Directorate IV);
- Department of Legal Affairs and Science Management;
- Department of Organization and Personnel;
- Department of International Cooperation;
- Department of Southern Affairs;
- Supreme People's Court of Vietnam Inspectorate;
- Court Academy;
- Justice Newspaper;
- People's Court Journal.
In addition, the positions and titles within the affiliated units of the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam are also stipulated, including:
- The Office, Departments, Directorates, and equivalent units of the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam have a Director or equivalent, Deputy Director or equivalent, Head of Division or equivalent, Deputy Head of Division or equivalent, People's Court Judges, Court Inspectors, Court Clerks, other officials, and employees;
- The Court Academy has a Director, Deputy Director, Head of Faculty and equivalent, Deputy Head of Faculty and equivalent, public employees, and staff;
- The Justice Newspaper and People's Court Journal have an Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Head of Division, Deputy Head of Division, reporters, editors, technicians, and staff.

What are the types of court fees in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Article 4 of Resolution 326/2016/UBTVQH14, court fees include the following types:
(1) Fees for resolving requests regarding civil, marriage and family, commercial, and labor issues within the jurisdiction of the Court as stipulated in clauses 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 of Article 27; clauses 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, and 11 of Article 29; clauses 1 and 6 of Article 31; clauses 1 and 5 of Article 33 of the Civil Procedure Code 2015.
(2) Fees for recognizing and enforcing in Vietnam or not recognizing judgments, decisions of foreign courts, or other competent foreign authorities, or not recognizing judgments, decisions of foreign courts, or other competent foreign authorities without a request for enforcement in Vietnam or recognizing and enforcing in Vietnam arbitral awards of foreign arbitral tribunals, including:
- Fees for recognizing and enforcing in Vietnam or not recognizing judgments, decisions of foreign courts, or other competent foreign authorities or not recognizing judgments, decisions of foreign courts or other competent foreign authorities without a request for enforcement in Vietnam or recognizing and enforcing in Vietnam arbitral awards of foreign arbitral tribunals as stipulated in clause 5 of Article 27; clause 9 of Article 29; clauses 4 and 5 of Article 31; clauses 3 and 4 of Article 33 of the Civil Procedure Code 2015;
- Fees for appealing court decisions regarding the recognition and enforcement in Vietnam of foreign court judgments, decisions; foreign arbitral awards.
(3) Fees for resolving requests related to the settlement of disputes by the Vietnam Commercial Arbitration under the law on Commercial Arbitration.
(4) Filing fees for bankruptcy proceedings.
(5) Fees for assessing the legality of a strike.
(6) Fees for arresting ships, aircraft.
(7) Fees for executing judicial entrustment from foreign courts in Vietnam.
(8) Fees for judicial entrustment abroad.
(9) Fees for issuing copies of documents, duplicating files at the Court, including:
- Fees for duplicating documents, evidence in case files by the Court;
- Fees for issuing copies of court judgments, decisions;
- Fees for issuing copies of criminal record removal decisions;
- Fees for issuing copies of other court papers.
What are the current rates for court fees in Vietnam?
According to section B of the Schedule of Court Fees and Charges issued with Resolution 326/2016/UBTVQH14, the fee rates are stipulated as follows:
