What are the contest schedule and awards in Vietnam?

According to the announcement from the Organizing Committee of the contest about the 95-Year History of the Founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the History of the Party Committee of Quang Ninh Province, Part 2, the contest schedule and awards are as follows:

The contest officially begins at 10:00 AM on January 6, 2025, and ends at 6:00 PM on January 26, 2025, consisting of 03 phases:

- Phase 1: Begins at 10:00 AM on January 6, 2025, and ends at 6:00 PM on January 12, 2025.

- Phase 2: Begins at 10:00 AM on January 13, 2025, and ends at 6:00 PM on January 19, 2025.

- Phase 3: Begins at 10:00 AM on January 20, 2025, and ends at 6:00 PM on January 26, 2025.

*Award Structure:

(1) Individual Awards:

- Group A: 01 first prize, 03 second prizes, 06 third prizes, and 20 consolation prizes (only 01 contestant per province or city).

- Group B: 01 first prize, 03 second prizes, 06 third prizes, and 20 consolation prizes (only 01 contestant per educational institution).

- Group C: 01 first prize, 03 second prizes, 06 third prizes, and 20 consolation prizes (only 01 contestant per province or city).

(2) Team Awards

- Quantity: 10 awards for 10 Departments of Education and Training and 20 awards for 20 training institutions.

- Criteria for team awards:

+ For Departments of Education and Training with the highest percentage of students participating in the contest (number of contestants/total number of students in the province or city) and with many students achieving high results in the preliminaries, semifinals, and finals.

+ For training institutions with the highest percentage of students participating in the contest (number of contestants/total number of students in the training institution) and with many students achieving high results in the preliminaries, semifinals, and finals.

(3) Commendation

(3.1) Individual Awards

- First and Second Prizes: Each receive a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training and a money prize in accordance with regulations.

- Third Prizes: Each receive a Certificate of Merit from the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and a money prize from the Organizing Committee of the contest.

- Consolation Prizes: Each receive a Certificate of Recognition and a money prize from the Organizing Committee of the contest.

(3.2) Team Awards

- Team awards receive a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training and a money prize in accordance with regulations.

The authority to decide on commendations, the amount of bonuses accompanying the emulation titles, forms of commendation mentioned above, must comply with the provisions of the Law on Emulation and Commendation.

e.2) Bonuses accompanying national awards, international awards recognized by the State of Vietnam.

e.3) Bonuses for technical improvements, inventions, and innovations recognized by the competent state authorities.

e.4) Bonuses for reporting and disclosing illegal acts to competent state authorities.

In addition, according to Articles 74 and 75 of the Law on Emulation and Commendation 2022, if contestants receive money prizes accompanying Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training from the contest about the 95-Year History of the Founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the History of the Party Committee of Quang Ninh Province, they are not subject to personal income tax.
