(1) Individual Award:
- First and Second Prize: Each prize is awarded with a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training and a money prize according to regulations.
- Third Prize: Each prize receives a Certificate of Merit from the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and a money prize from the Contest Organizing Committee.
- Encouragement Prize: Each prize receives a Certificate of Recognition and a money prize from the Contest Organizing Committee.
(2) Collective Award:
The collective award is granted with a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training and a money prize according to regulations.
How many types of rewards are currently prescribed?
Based on Article 8 of the Law on Emulation and Rewards 2022, six types of rewards are stipulated as follows:
(1) Merit reward for achievements is recognition for individuals or collectives who consistently achieve outstanding accomplishments in building and defending the nation.
(2) Unexpected reward is for promptly recognizing individuals, collectives, or families that have achieved extraordinary success.
(3) Reward for emulation movements is recognition for individuals, collectives, or families with outstanding achievements in emulation movements initiated and directed by competent authorities within a specific period or thematic emulation to serve the political duties of the Communist Party and State.
(4) Reward for the contributions over time is for individuals with a long-term participation in revolutionary phases or in building and defending the nation, holding leadership positions in state agencies, public service providers, political organizations, political-social organizations, political-social-professional organizations, social organizations, social-professional organizations entrusted by the Communist Party and State, having merits, achievements contributing to the revolutionary cause of the Communist Party and the nation.
(5) Tenure reward is for individuals in the People's Army and the People's Public Security with achievements and a service record in the armed forces.(6) Foreign commendations are awards given to individuals or groups of Vietnamese residing abroad; individuals or groups of foreigners with achievements contributing to the construction and protection of the Vietnamese Fatherland.
