1. For officials and public employees:
1.1. Lunar New Year Holiday 2024

Officials and public employees shall enjoy the Lunar New Year Holiday 2024 from Thursday, February 8, 2024 of the Gregorian Calendar to the end of Wednesday, February 14, 2024 of the Gregorian Calendar (which is December 29 of the Moon Calendar of the Year of the Cat to the end of January 5 of the Moon Calendar of the Year of the Dragon). Therefore, with this scheme, officials and public employees will have 7 days off for the Lunar New Year Holiday (including 5 days off for the Lunar New Year Holiday and 2 compensatory days off for the weekly days off according to Clause 3 Article 111 of the Labor Code).
b) Scheme 2: 5 days off according to regulations with 1 day off before Tet and 4 days off after Tet.

c) The Ministry of Labor - War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam suggests the selection of scheme 1 out of the 2 because they both have the same number of days off, but scheme 1 ensures harmony between the time off before and after Tet (scheme 1 is consensually agreed on by every concerned Ministry and central authority).

Officials and public employees enjoy days off from Saturday, August 31, 2024 to the end of Tuesday, September 3, 2024 of the Gregorian calendar. Therefore, with this scheme, officials and public employees will have 4 days off for the National Day Holiday (including 2 days off for the National Day Holiday and 2 weekly days off).
b) Scheme 2: 2 days off according to regulations, specifically September 2 of the Gregorian calendar and a day preceding September 2.
