1. Who is eligible to be admitted as a member of Vietnam Association of Drilling and Production Technology?

- Officers and employees who have been working in the drilling - mining, geomechanical, oil, and gas industries and those interested in the field of drilling and mining who agree to the Association's Charter, voluntarily apply to join the Association can be admitted to the Vietnam Association of Drilling and Production Technology .

- Vietnamese citizens at home and abroad who make contributions to the Association but are not eligible to join the Association, and agree to the Association's Charter shall be considered for recognition as associate members. Associate members enjoy the same rights and obligations as other members of the association but do not have the right to stand for election, elect to the Executive Board and leadership positions of the Association, or participate in voting on the Association's issues.

- The form of admission and expulsion of members shall be prescribed by the Central Executive Committee of the Association.

- Members of Drilling - Mining Technology Association can join other associations.

2. Duties and rights of members of Vietnam Association of Drilling and Production Technology

- Members have the following duties: Comply with and implement the Association's charter and laws of the State, actively implement resolutions, and respond to all activities of the Association; preserve the prestige and professional reputation of themselves and of the Association; propaganda to develop new members; participate in activities; and pay membership fees;

- Members have the right to: Participate in the Association's activities; receive material and spiritual support from the Association; participate in scientific and technical activities and training at home and abroad; and enjoy other benefits prescribed by the Association. Members are entitled to discuss and vote on the Association's affairs, to vote, to stand for election to the Association's agencies, to be granted membership cards, and to leave the Association.

3. Tasks and powers of Vietnam Association of Drilling and Production Technology

3.1. Tasks of Vietnam Association of Drilling and Production Technology

- Encouraging members' enthusiasm and creativity in researching, summarizing, disseminating, transferring and applying new achievements in science, technology, engineering, and management in the field of Drilling and Production Technology to meet the needs and contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.

- Encouraging and helping members improve their professional, scientific, and technical qualifications, contributing to the training of talents and skilled experts for the country.

- Information and dissemination of scientific knowledge, drilling technology - extraction of solid minerals, oil and gas, groundwater, and protection of mineral resources and the environment.

- Researching and applying new technologies, domestic and international scientific and technical advances in drilling and exploitation to mineral resource exploration and other industrial fields. Participating in the development of processes, regulations, and state standards in the field of drilling and exploitation.

- Consulting, assessing, and giving feedback to the state and ministries on technology development strategies, techniques, and investment plans to improve the efficiency of exploration and exploitation, the rational use and protection of natural resources, and the environment, as well as on specific policies, regimes, and measures to promote the development of the industry when required.

- Conducting economic activities in accordance with state laws through the application of scientific and technological advances to generate revenue for the Association's operating fund.

3.2. Powers of Vietnam Association of Drilling and Production Technology

- To consult with state agencies in the development of legal documents, planning guidelines, and policies; appraise major economic and scientific projects related to the field of activities of the Association.

- To help members improve their professional qualifications; protect the legitimate interests of members in accordance with the Association's Charter and state law.

- To exchange experiences with domestic and foreign scientific and technological organizations on issues related to the Drilling and Production Technology industries in accordance with the law.

- To raise funds for the Association on the basis of membership fees and revenues from consulting activities and scientific, technological, and economic services as prescribed by law.

- To receive legal funding sources from organizations and individuals at home and abroad according to the provisions of law.
