2. Location and functions of the National Center for Rural Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation in Vietnam

- National Center for Rural Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation is a public service unit under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development with the functions of testing water quality and rural environment; information and communication; applied research and technology transfer; international cooperation and training; consulting; and providing services on clean water and rural environmental sanitation nationwide.

- The National Center for Rural Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation has legal status, has its own seal, and is allowed to open accounts at the State Treasury and the Bank to operate in accordance with the law. The Center's headquarters are located in Hanoi.

The Center's operating funds are allocated from the State Budget and other legal revenue sources according to the provisions of the law.
