1. What is the Vietnam Kieu Study Association?

Vietnam Kieu Study Association (hereinafter referred to as Association) is a voluntary social-professional organization of researchers and Vietnamese people who love Truyen Kieu from literature and art to social sciences and natural sciences in order to promote collective intelligence in researching and disseminating specialized scientific knowledge. Taking the Tale of Kieu as an object of study, Kieu Studies promotes all the values and quintessence of literature and art on social culture that are crystallized and converged in the Tale of Kieu by the great poet Nguyen Du to honor the value and preserve the precious cultural heritage of the Vietnamese nation.

2. How are members of the Vietnam Kieu Study Association classified?

Members of the Vietnam Kieu Study Association are classified as follows:

- Official member: Vietnamese citizens, researchers, and lovers of the work of the great poet Nguyen Du's Tale of Kieu, regardless of age, occupation, education, or religion, agree to the Association's Charter and voluntarily join the Association.

- Honorary member:

Vietnamese citizens who do not have conditions or do not meet the criteria to become an official member of the Association, agree to the Association's Charter, and voluntarily join the Association can become honorary members of the Association.

Honorary members are invited to appropriate meetings of the Association and are entitled to give opinions on other necessary issues in the Association's activities, but they have no right to vote on matters of the Association and are not allowed to vote or stand for election to the Executive Board of the Association.

3. What are the rights and obligations of members of the Vietnam Kieu Study Association?

3.1. Rights of Members

Members of the Vietnam Kieu Study Association have the following rights:

- Participate in all activities of the Association.

- Attend or send people to attend the general meeting, to be nominated, to stand for election, and to vote on issues of the Association in accordance with the provisions of the Charter.

- Have the right to discuss, criticize, exchange, and question organizations of the Association and individuals who run the Association about all policies and activities of the Association.

- Receive the support and assistance of the Association, within the scope of the Association's powers and capabilities.

- Be provided timely with necessary information about the study of the Tale of Kieu, to attend seminars, and to improve understanding of the Tale of Kieu.

- Have the right, through the association, to express opinions, promote proposals, and aspirations to state management agencies on issues under mechanisms and policies in order to protect the legitimate interests of members.

- Be rewarded for high achievements in the Association's activities.

- Have the right to apply to leave the Association.

3.2. Obligations of members

Members of the Vietnam Kieu Study Association must perform the following obligations:

- Strictly implement the Association's Charter, the General Meeting's resolutions, and the decisions of the Executive Board and Standing Board of the Association.

- Actively participate in the Association's activities and regularly in the Association's organizations.

- Unite, cooperate, and help other members to build the Association's organization to grow stronger and stronger.

- Pay membership fees and other revenues in full and on time in accordance with the Association's Charter and the law.

- Provide necessary and timely information and data to serve the Association's activities.

- Protect the honor and interests of the Association and its members in professional activities and other related jobs.

- Do not act on behalf of the Association in transactions except when performing tasks assigned by the Association.

- Actively propagate and discover new members.
