1. What are the cases eligible to be awarded the Party Badge in Vietnam?

Party memebers are eligible to be awarded the Party Badge in Vietnam if:

- Party members with full 30, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, or 90 years of party age shall be considered and awarded the Party Badge.

Party members who are seriously ill may be considered for awarding badges of 30, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, and 65 years of age early, but the time for early consideration and donation must not exceed 12 months compared to the prescribed time; may also be considered for awarding badges of 70, 75, 80, 85, and 90 years of age early, but the time for early consideration and donation must not exceed 24 months compared to the prescribed time.

- Dead Party members are considered posthumously conferred the Party Badge early, but the time for early posthumous awarding cannot exceed 12 months compared with the prescribed time.

- The level of bonus in accordance with the Party Badge shall comply with the Regulations of the Secretariat and the Guidelines of the Central Office of the Party.

Thus, when a Party member reaches the age of five and meets the criteria specified above, he or she will be considered for conferring the Party Badge.

2. Regulations on giving, using, and managing the Party Badge in Vietnam

- The awarding of the Party Badge is timely organized on the occasion of the big holidays of 3/2; May 19; 2/9; 7/11, and other important anniversaries at grassroots party organizations. In special cases, the standing committee of the provincial Party Committee considers and decides.

- Party members use the Party Badge on the holidays of the Party, the nation, in the Party's congresses and conferences, and to celebrate their own Party membership.

- Party members are awarded the Party Badge upon death, the party member's family can keep the Party Badge as a souvenir.

- Party members who lose the Party Badge, if there is a legitimate reason, may be considered for re-issuance of the badge.

- Party members who are removed from the Party must hand over the Party Badge to the party organization.

3. Responsibilities of the Party Committee for the Consideration and Award of the Party Badge in Vietnam

- Level of grassroots committee:

+ Carry out procedures to request higher-level committees to consider and decide to award the Party Badge, re-issue the Party Badge to a lost party member, and posthumously award the Party Badge to a qualified deceased or deceased party member.

+ Organize the awarding of Party Badges to party members.

+ Revoke the Party Badge of a member expelled from the party and delete the name sent to the immediate superior committee of the party's grassroots organization.

- The immediate superior level of the grassroots party committee:

+ Consider and make a list of party members and request the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and equivalent to consider and decide to award the Party Badge, re-issue the lost Party Badge, and posthumously award the Party Badge to qualified party members.

+ Manage the book of giving the Party Badge to the party committee.

- Provincial Party Committee and equivalent:

+ Consider and decide to give the Party Badge to party members.

+ Direct, guide, and inspect subordinate party committees to comply with the Central Government's regulations on awarding the Party Badge.

+ Manage the Party Badge that has been revoked by subordinates.

+ Annually review the work of awarding the Party Badge to draw on experience and report to the Secretariat (via the Central Organizing Committee).
